Birdsong nature retreat perfect for couples

Birdsong Cottage is a peaceful nature retreat in the Holyoake Valley. It is perfect for a couple's getaway. The character cottage has open plan living with a kitchen, wood fire, lead light windows, separate queen bedroom and garden outlook. Birds can be spotted the gardens: red robins, blue wrens, yellow-necked parrots, rosellas and kookaburras. Kangaroo and emu live in the valley. Downhill past the winter creek and dam, a path through the Jarrah-Marri forest leads to the Bibbulmun track.

Carol’s Cottage

Get cosy and settle into this rustic space. This little cottage is fully self contained. It is embedded into our garden with access through the back. There is a coded walk through gate and you can park within the property. You just have to open and close the gates manually. There is a fully operational pool which can be used. However, we are in the process of landscaping and securing the pool. Access is through temporary fencing in place. The photographs show the beauty of the cottage.

Relax and recharge in our hand-built cabin surrounded by nature. Our cottage is bright, fresh and spacious. Situated on 5 serene acres, we have a large dam that fills in the winter months. In summer our lavender field blooms, and in the cool, fresh mornings the smell is something truely wonderful to behold. With virtually no traffic sounds, limited reception and dense forrest on two sides you can really experience peace and quiet, while enjoying a symphony of bird and nature sounds.
