The Maynard Cabin, a Civil War era log cabinThe Maynard Log Cabin was erected by a homesteader after the civil war. We have moved and restored it and made it available for rent. It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

Lake House on Waters EdgeOur cabin has ample living space and is literally right at the water’s edge. Lake Shamineau is a premier large lake in the area with great fishing and boating. Only 1 HR from St Could and 2HR from Twin Cities. There are 2 kayaks provided as well as a dock. The Cabin is fully stocked with bath towels, bedding, and fully a stocked kitchen. Many other lakes and great activities including Golf, waterparks, and great restaurants are only a short drive away.
