Asheville brewery hop by Kayak or Paddleboard
We will be exploring a couple of the best breweries of Asheville by SUP and kayak on the French Broad! 21&up. Weโll meet you at White Duck Taco where youโll leave your car and we will shuttle bus you to the starting point. This river is flat and wide, an easy beginner run, winding through the river arts district. Our guides will help you learn to kayak or SUP if you are new to it. It is a scenic and fun way to get to the breweries. Great for groups, solo travelers or couples, because you make friends with your crew throughout the afternoon. We have dry bags for personal items, dress to get wet and still be able to walk a block or two. Our takeouts are riverside banks, not docks, so ability to get out of your boat and walk up a trail is required. A sample or two can be provided at the breweries, but bring your wallet to purchase beer and food.

Sound Healing Relaxation in the Sound Nest
Feeling stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, or desiring to relax, be supported, & experience meditative sounds? Arrive at the Sound Nest located in a private residence, in Alexander, in the rolling hills just outside Asheville, leaving the outside world behind beginning with a cup of soothing tea. Slip off your shoes & enter a nurturing room filled with special instruments to soothe your cares & nervous system. Dawn walks participants through what to expect in a tranquil & reassuring way. The bespoke sound healing journey can be tailored to support your life. Grounding gongs, soaring singing bowls, refreshing chimes, a relaxing ocean drum, amongst other instruments help us to re-imagine life & bring fresh air to the intensity that life naturally brings.
Why sound healing? These instruments and the way Dawn plays them allows the mind to relax so your body can activate the parasympathetic nervous system & rest, digest, and heal itself.
Dawn welcomes groups up to 8 with space to lay down, more are welcome if seated upright. Private group or individual sessions are happily arranged in addition to the times shown here, please contact Dawn. We can also host sessions instructing how to play the instruments if booked specifically for that goal.
PS If the private session booking option shows a crazy high price, that's because that time is not available; just contact for times.
Tip-Based Asheville Walking Tour
Pay what you want in the end!
We will start downtown in Pack Square to learn about the history, architecture, and some of the local legends surrounding Asheville! During our tour, we will be sure to cover all major landmarks like the Basilica of St Lawrence, and the Grove Park Arcade, but we will also go off the beaten path to explore the Block, the YMI, Woolworth Walk's old-timey soda fountain, and Wall St's catwalk!
During the trip, I will be providing insider tips on the best places to eat, drink and play for the best prices, including the places where locals hang out for free! We will discuss hidden gems that many people walk by daily without ever noticing an eagle overhead, the faces engraved on the wall, or secret mice! We will dive deeper into Asheville's "buy local" culture and what that means for companies who get listed as "sell-outs." Also, we will discuss stories of sabotage, controversy, and little-known success stories of previous residents! We will also check out a cool museum called Leaf Global and taste local spirits from a distillery!
At the end, my guest will get discount beer tickets to taste some local brews from one of Asheville's finest, local breweries called Twin Leaf.

Drinking and Screen Printing in the River Arts District
Your experience will take place at Great Wild Nowhere, an art gallery / tap room in the River Arts District.
After a crash course introduction to the screen printing process, guests will pull their own prints on tee shirts and paper while enjoying a complimentary local craft beer or a glass of wine. Choose from a gallery of our original, mystical woodland creatures and exotic beasts to emblazon on a tee shirt you print yourself! Also, we are dog friendly so hopefully you are too!
*If you are flying solo, please message me before booking. We have a two person minimum for each class so weโll need to find one that you can join.
Some Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Can I bring my own design to print on a shirt?
A: Unfortunately no. The actual process of making a screen takes a few hours so this is more of a hands-on introduction to screen printing experience. We have lots of designs to choose from and you get to keep everything you make!
Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: Sure! But we usually have several off leash pups around so if yours arenโt very social, it might not alway be a good fit. But weโre always down to see how it goes!
Q: Am I supposed to tip?
A: Thatโs entirely up to you. Many people do. And if you enjoy your experience with me, or at the bar, or both, we never turn down some extra love! But, it is in no way expected or required.
See you soon!
Create a personal glass object in a hot glass workshop
I offer hot glass blowing classes at my studio in Hendersonville, NC. Classes are currently available for 2 participants at a time. Classes last for approximately 1.25 hours and each person would make one of three objects; Pumpkin, Oil Lamp or a double sided bowl.
All work is continuously supervised by myself. The object is to be safe, have fun and create something out of glass. I've been blowing glass since the early 1990's and have been offering classes at my location at Horseshoe Gap Village in Hendersonville for the past 4 years.
Coffee Hike to Three Waterfalls
Love hiking and coffee? You've found the right place.
We have over 300 waterfalls around Brevard and searching different trail websites gets confusing to try and pick which one to visit, so I will make it easy, weโll visit three of my personal favorites along a 3.5 mile loop. The terrain is mostly even, gravel trail with two steep sections (about 70 yards) that will get your heart pumping, but the views are worth the climbs.
To me there's nothing better than slowing down to appreciate the moment in nature with a great cup of coffee (and new friends!).
On this hike you will try my locally roasted coffee medium roast, called "Trail Magic". I recently hired the best hiking guides in WNC and we can't wait to lead you on a coffee hike!
Here's our plan.
1. We will meet at The Hooker Falls parking area in DuPont State Forest, and hike to Hooker Falls. Here we'll break to brew and share coffee together. You'll learn how to make coffee in the woods including how to filter water from the waterfall.
2. We'll head to Triple Falls. It's up a steep climb but we will take our time and the view is totally worth it.
3. After some pictures of Triple Falls, we'll keep hiking on to High Falls, a stunning end to our adventure.
Need a different date or time from what's listed? We have multiple guides, so please send date and time requests and we will do our best to accommodate!
