It is one of about 10 fisherman's cottages in the little clachan (hamlet) of Slievebawn and nestles above the beach and pier of Portmore, Malin Head. The cottage is a two minute walk from two beaches: The picturesque and intimate sandy beach at Sandport and the shingle beach of Portmore beside Malin Head pier which is popular for swimming and diving.
