Into oza kuyenza

Immerse like a local in this vibrant neighborhood into the history, culture and customs of Little Havana.

We meet at Memorial boulevard, a symbolic landmark for the history of the Cuban exile migration to Miami.

Next we cross the street into the oldest open farmer's market to marvel at an array of tropical fruits while the owner extracts juice from a plant before your eyes to enjoy a refreshing sample.

Strolling down the famed "Calle 8" following the waft of fresh bread we step inside a bakery to indulge in fresh pastries.

Next stop is the cigar factory to watch tobacco leaves hand rolled into the finest cigars. Then get exclusive access inside the humidor for more history and etiquette lessons.

Following a wonderful aroma, we step into a coffee shop and watch and learn how to prepare a proper Cuban coffee and sample a fresh brew.

Dominoes is an important part of the culture. Observe and cheer on the "viejitos" in a competitive game at the lively Domino park.

Admire the largest Cuban art collection in the world outside of Cuba in a hidden gem art gallery.

Cuban are also known for another art-the art of music. Sway to the sounds and rhythm of salsa and bachata at a 1935 jazz bar.

To top it off you'll savor a flavorful homemade hot-plate Cuban meal and traditional side dishes at Cuban family restaurant. The only tour to offer more than finger food! Delicioso!

Ariel was the best. It felt like we were getting a very personal tour from someone who grew up in the area. Very entertaining stories about the culture and history as well. Highly recommend!

Arial, our host, was clearly an experienced and passionate guide. His heart was in the tour which was all about his history, homeland, culture, food, religion, and sense of pride. He embodied the vibrant, musical soul of a debonair rooster protecting his chicks! He encouraged us to feel the efforts of the 100 people who created each cigar, from planters to harvesters to box makers and hand rollers. As much care goes into the coffee, sweetened with brown sugar, as into the street art and music. Local kids do the background painting for restoration work which keeps the tradition of street painting alive and generations connected. Dominos is the game of generations, too. Kids learn at the knee of savvy grandfathers who hang out all day with friends, smoking cigars, keeping history alive, people watching and providing wisdom to those in need. Arial also welcomed us into the pulse of salsa, and invited us to return in the evenings and dance, laugh and become part of the Cuban family. Get to know how rich our American culture is by opening your heart to the Cuban flavors of Little Havana. I will tell everyone coming to the Miami area to “get in here!” and take this tour!

We had Ariel as a guest, and he was hilarious, well informed, just all around great host. They made sure to cater to any dietary restrictions and most of all they made it fun and educational. Because of covid, there were a few things we didn’t have a chance to do like go to the jazz bar and go to domino park because they were closed, but the hosts have no control over that, and Ariel still taught us so much about the two locations. We went back to the fruit market and bought more sugarcane juice because you just have to!
