The practice of forest bathing encourages you to slow down, relax and reconnect with nature by quieting the mind and awakening the senses.

Join a certified forest therapy guide for a relaxing 2.5-hour stroll through the forest in our stunning Blue Ridge Mountains. Through a series of invitations, you’ll have the opportunity to be present in the moment, deepening your connection with nature and community, and enjoying the many gifts nature has to offer. The walk culminates in a tea ceremony with snacks.

What is Forest Bathing? Forest Bathing is simply a guided walk in nature. Your guide will share mindfulness practices and invitations designed to connect you more deeply to your inner landscapes, as well as the world around you. Inspired by Shinrin-Yoku, the Japanese art of immersing oneself in a forest environment, forest bathing walks invite guests to spend time in nature in a way that invites healing for ourselves, our fraught ecosystems, and our community. It is true nature therapy!

This is essentially a mindful, rejuvenating walk in the forest…no actual “bathing” required.

I’ve spent the past 15 years exploring. I’ve held jobs that are more accurately described as “life experiences that paid me sometimes” including international hiking guide, wilderness therapy instructor, adventure yoga retreat planner in the Andes & Galapagos, and more. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to explore this wild world of ours and am equally as grateful to have called Asheville my "home base" since 2008. We'll explore the forest together, walking slowly and mindfully along an easy wooded trail with sounds of the forest, animals, a rushing mountain streams accompanying us along the way. If a meditative walk in an ancient forest is your cup of tea, you will not be disappointed! The walk was easy, all ages can participate. Our guide was knowledgeable and communicative, encouraging us to take our time and experience the forest with all our senses. I highly recommend this experience for anyone who enjoys nature.

I went on a tour with Christa, and it was fantastic! She was so knowledgeable about the history of the area, all of the nature we encountered, and how to give the best experience.
