Traditional Greek Pies - Teaching technique and lunch (up to 15 people)
Greek pies are a culinary masterpiece that have a large variety of scrumptious combinations. Together we will learn the art of Phyllo (or Filo) Dough making and how to make a traditional greek pie.
At the beginning, Sophia will teach you how to make a traditional homemade Phyllo Dough as women from small villages of our country did, with pure ingredients. You will learn all the secrets of the process and start making your own pie. In the mean time we will offer you as a welcome drink Tsipouro (greek traditional drink) with tomato, olives, onion so you can live the experience to the fullest. Afterwards you will each make a spinach and cheese pie and a flour pie which will be accompanied by greek yogurt. You will taste unique flavors and combinations of them as you will discuss with your group about the recipes of your place. Through this, we will learn and appreciate not only our culture but also that of others and we will have the opportunity to make new friends. As a dessert we will offer you traditional “spoon sweet”, a traditional dessert which is usually made from fruits cooked in sugar.
