Slow down, notice your surroundings, and appreciate nature on this unique hike. We offer mindfulness day hikes where you can disconnect from screens and enjoy the gorgeous mountains outside of Asheville, North Carolina.

Before our hike we'll spend 10-20 minutes giving you an overview of mindfulness practices, share current research on the immense benefits of nature immersion, and do a short, guided meditation.

We'll spread out and hike mindfully, and your guides will make sure to point out local flora and fauna along the way and give you time to wade in the nearby creek. Around noon we'll find a spot to eat lunch so you can soak up the gorgeous view. We provide a delicious catered lunch from Asheville Sandwich Company. After lunch we'll share a Kombucha while joining back together to debrief our hike.

This hike is 3 miles and is mostly flat with one steep section. There are fresh blueberry and blackberry bushes on the trail, a cool and refreshing creek to wade in, and an incredible view at the top. Give yourself the opportunity and time to go inward and be fully present on this unique trip!

My mindfulness hike with Lucy was exceptional. Lucy started by sharing meaningful scientific facts about the health benefits of interacting with nature, a brief meditation, and tips for remaining mindful while we hiked. We spaced ourselves so we were able to hike in solitude at a deliberate pace but with Lucy stationed at key points for directions. The trail was varied and Lucy’s thoughtful approach made it possible to hike with all senses attuned. At the top of the trail we journaled and mindfully enjoyed a delicious lunch, then came together for good conversation. I am looking forward to another hike with Lucy!
