We will bake fruit, lavender and berry scones, and spelt or brown bread.
I believe in the hands on experience for my guests - from handling ingredients to kneading dough.
It isn't all about the cooking, I share lots of tips from my experience over the years.
I love to see the faces full of excitement and joy at the sight of the end product - freshly baked scones and bread.
And best of all we have lots of fun.

Coming from a farming background I remember well how everything on the farm was home produced. From milking the cows after school to baking mince pies at Christmas, I was introduced to cooking from a very early age, and the passion has stayed with me. I have run a successful cafe and cookery school for many years. Being featured in The Bridgestone Guide, New York Times and on a number of overseas websites brings a steady stream of tourists to my cafe and classes. I am vegetarian and have a strong belief in the value of nutritious and healthy eating so I also run vegetarian cookery classes.

We loved making scones and bread with Kate!! It was so lovely to spend time with her. She was so welcoming and her home is beautiful and inviting!! The scones and bread are delicious and we are looking forward to using the recipes when we go home!!

Kate is the warmest host I’ve come across . She made me feel at home the moment I stepped in. She’s given me amazing tricks and hacks to baking and for a newbie like me , she’s very patient and encouraging. I lost complete track of time and didn’t want to say goodbye. I already have planned my next visit with her for more recipes.

What an amazing experience cooking in Kate’s kitchen. You can buy all the beautiful cook books but to actually measure the ingredients and listen to Kate’s useful tips and guidance It’s fantastic. Her home where the cooking takes place is inspiring. The banter is priceless and then to sample the cooking in such a beautiful stop Recommend 100 per cent Not to be missed

Cooking with Kate was like learning to cook from the perfect mother figure. She was so sweet, kind and encouraging. She accommodated my daughter’s handicap beautifully and while the bread was cooking we all sat together and had tea. This was a phenomenal experience and I plan on having more cooking lessons with Kate over Zoom once I am home. Also, her dog is adorable and deserves a mention.
