Guests will arrive at my place. I have set up a studio with paint and canvas. We will sit and prepare the mind to focus through a 25 to 30 minute meditation and then we begin painting. Guests have the option to learn drawing and sketching with black pencil off a live object, or to use a canvas with paint to achieve an abstract painting. You can bring your own canvas or I can provide it for an extra charge of $15 I provide free paints including acrylic, oil, or organic paints that I create myself with natural flowers tea.

I will show guests techniques they can use on the canvas to paint a picture given to them based on their level. This class is open to all levels. The two hours include 30 min of teachings about how to use different brushes, mix colours, how to apply different brushes with different techniques on the canvas. Or for the sketching on how to create shadows, different shapes and perspective on paper. The additional one hour are used to achieve the desired painting and focus on their work (studio hour). Guests are likely to achieve an understanding of how to create an abstract painting or a drawing depending on their choice with the techniques taught to them.
Other things to note
Guests can bring a light food/snack that is not messy for the studio hours.

This is Fariba, I am an artist and yogi. I have been working as a professional artist for many years and have exhibited my work in Toronto and NYC. Art is a way of meditation and I know many different methods of bringing together arts with meditation.
If you are interested and want to learn how to use the time you have, being aware of your mind and body, you will learn something that you can always use in the future to meditate by yourself, bringing out your creativity to your life!
