This was a wonderful experience in Tokyo. Ayuko is a very caring and enthusiastic teacher, and the class was enjoyable and calming. Japanese calligraphy is a difficult art, and this class is a great way to get a taste of the complexities. Ayuko also had a translator who was very helpful in understanding the theory of calligraphy. Would definitely recommend this activity in Tokyo! Thanks Ayuko for a great class!

I just got back from my calligraphy course with Ayuko. She is the sweetest lady with an incredible talent. She is has a very positive vibe and makes the course very enjoyable. Also this is an amazing way to have a souvenir to take him, something you made yourself! I wrote my name in Kanji with the help of Ayuko and it looks amazing. A great piece of art that will always remind me of my time here in Tokyo :)

Ayuko is a very pretty lady who is a master in both calligraphy and karate! She taught us step by step on the basics of calligraphy. The snacks and tea were very nice as well. We were asked to pick a word of our choice and we wrote the word onto a cardboard outselves. Ayuko also wrote our names on a gold card board. We finally visited a calligraphy shop nearby to end the journey.

A remarkable escape from the urban insanity of modern Tokyo, Ayuko's class was extremely enjoyable. Ayuko was a patient teacher and taught me the basic parts of calligraphy while also helping me to write a four character phrase. The two hours of the class are plenty of time to practice and relax: I would recommend this experience to anybody interested in traditional Japanese culture or simply in taking a break from running around in the city all the time.
