Into oza kuyenza

Step onto our farm and feel fully immersed in our Jordanian hospitality and culture. The valley sits just 15 minutes drive from the Dead Sea, making it nearly the lowest place on the planet. As a result, the air has got especially high oxygen content, which fills the lungs and works wonders for the body’s respiratory system. Upon arrival you will meet our resident farmer Abu Bakr and our man-in-charge, permaculturist Mohammad Atiyah. Our working date farm needs constant attention whether it be picking during the harvest season, weeding, digging, or gathering fallen wood. In addition, you can learn about permaculture practices and organic farming from Mohammad, who is always eager to teach. One thing you will learn is our pick and cook way of life. Food can simply be plucked, prepared, and eaten. We eat big meals communally, either around the fire or in the house. These conversations offer the best platform to gather first hand accounts and perspectives on the area’s fascinating geopolitical conflicts, as well as the current solutions. Our 360 degree terrace offers great views of the valley, where you can see across the border all the way to Jericho.
Other things to note
We do have a swimming pool, but it is only filled based on demand (be sure to ask prior to coming). We are also ideally located next to the Baptism site and the Dead Sea!

You will mainly stay at our farm. Much of our land is taken up by the date palm plantation, but we also grow vegetables, fruit, and decorative plants for our festival. The scenery is stunning, and we also have honey bees, chickens, pigeons, cats, a dog and a donkey.
