The Uyeasound Old Pier Cottage

Housed in Uyeasound's old "Westside Shop" (the building in white in the pictures), this accommodation is an open plan, with a separate bathroom, and two bunk beds (with stairs). With an equipped kitchen, a lounge area, four people in total can enjoy the building, with a direct view of the port and the jetty which are just across the road. The terrace of "Le Petit Café - Chez Simone" just in front of the accommodation (same French owner) can be used for a breakfast, a lunch, a tea time...

Welcome to my beautiful cottage in Unst. The cottage has a lot of history behind it and used to be owned by the poet Jackie Renwick. It is located in a quiet part of Uyeasound right next to the sea. The back gate leads out onto the sea where Killer whales can sometimes be seen from. There are otters very close by and often comes ashore on the beach alongside the house. The area is full of wildlife and is right next to a beautiful walk along the coastline to Belmont.
