Andalucía has regulations for tourist accommodations. According to the regulations, a “tourist accommodation” is referred to as a residential property that can be rented repeatedly by tourists through tourism channels for a price. Tourism channels include travel agencies, companies that mediate or organize rentals, and sites that allow booking.
Registration
You’ll need to register your tourist accommodations within Andalucía with the Tourism Register of Andalucía. As part of the process, you’ll need to provide a statement of responsibility that declares compliance with current regulations to the Tourism and Sports Council.
After you register, your accommodation will receive a registration number (Example: VFT/HU/00000).
Advertising requirement
Andalucía requires you to include your registration number on any form of advertisement for your tourist accommodation, including Airbnb. There’s a field you can use to include your registration number in the Listing details section.
Additional information
The Regional Government of Andalucía can provide more information about tourist accommodation regulations. If you have any questions about how Andalucían tourist accommodation regulations apply to you or to your property, contact the Territorial Delegation of Culture, Tourism, and Sports or use their communication form.
We are committed to working with the local authorities to make the regulations clearer in the context of a collaborative economy, and to help them keep in mind the benefits of Airbnb to our community. Whenever necessary, we will continue to defend any changes to allow private individuals to rent their dwellings.
