  • Whitewater Rafting; Splashes & Smiles
The White Salmon River flows through a collapsed lava tube coming off Mt. Adams, a designated Wild and Scenic area - it's stunning. Expect to paddle several worthy class III and IV rapids. We'll meet at Northwestern Park just outside of White Salmon WA, across the river from from Hood River. It's an hour and a half from Portland in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. We'll be rafting the White Salmon River, an estuary of the Columbia. After introductions we'll outfit you with a wetsuit, wetsuit booties, helmet and personal floatation device. We'll then take a short van ride to the put in. After an informative river orientation talk we walk down a path to the river, the noise of the rapids ever growing as we descend! Three hours later we'll be back at our cars; Photos of the trip as well as merchandise will be for sale. You may choose to bring a picnic and relax in the park after our trip or check out downtown White Salmon and Hood River. I love this river and sharing the experience and I look forward to seeing you soon! ~Scott Other things to note Your experience may just be your group on a raft with your guide or some new friends may join! Sometimes up to 7 rafts may go depending on who joins that day. Everyone gets outfitted with a wetsuit, wetsuit booties, splash top if desired and a helmet. We go rain or shine, expect to get wet!

  • Multnomah Zen, a Gorge waterfall hike
Multnomah Falls and other waterfalls and vistas of the Columbia Gorge are astonishing icons of geology, the sort that have inspired mythology and lore of warriors, gods and passions in every world culture. Meet the tallest waterfall in the state, and a few of the shorter but even more stunning ones, too; falls which could only be the daughters and sons of legend. In this half-day experience, we will explore wonders in our customizable small-group, half-day experience with short hikes (up to 3 miles/5 km) and visits to overlooks and vistas that will have you gasping in awe. While Multnomah Falls and its iconic Benson Bridge are together the most-visited tourist attraction in the Portland area, they are only a part of our experience. We will meet at our shop in inner SE Portland, where we'll ride in our Mercedes Sprinter vans to the nearby gorge. Depending on weather conditions, we could visit a few small hidden waterfalls or spectacular plunge-style falls whose columnar basalt has us learning words for "amazing" in other languages. We'll also tell you stories, geology, botany and oft-repeated tales of pioneers and road-builders, but also the old stories we've learned, of gods and wild spirits and about the oldest North American civilization, forever altered by “manifest destiny." Please note we book directly as well as through AirBNB, and your group may be up to 10.

  • Extreme Hike & Photos, the unseen views
Note:: This is a customized hike and photo shoot selected to be appropriate for each private group. Options of hikes vary by season and the different areas of the cascade mountains. - Price::I DO accept 2 people at a “1 person” price.* This price point is for half-day hikes in areas around Roslyn, Snoqualmie Pass, and Packwood. Download of high-res edited photos included. *See details on “tickets” under the “What’s Included” section for the difference in photos and videos included between 1 person and group prices. - The following details are for a full-day, challenging summer hike:: We meet in the nearest town to the selected trailhead (in this case Packwood WA), and continue driving to the trailhead. This hike can take 8-10 hours and up to another 2 hours for driving time to and from the trailhead. It’s an 8 mile hike to the summit. I mix in a combination of mini-photo shoots and candid photos along the way. I go at your pace. To the summit is over 3500’ elevation gain and an amazing 360 view, but even below the last stretch of more difficult terrain is some of the best views and spots to do portraits and photography. When based around a sunset summit we make use of headlamps to light up the trail in front of us for the hike back. - Are you physically & mentally ready for a challenge? Msg me to ask about your preferred trip date!

  • Learn the joy/relaxation of cow milking
We will teach you how to milk a cow. *At the beginning we allow you time to spend with the animals. Petting, brushing, or just hanging out with them. *Next we take you through what we feed our animals and how we care for them. We can talk about what goes into the cleanliness of the process and getting everything ready. *We will then go through the experience of milking the cow (whether by hand or with the machine, you decide). Allowing you to do as much of the work as you feel comfortable with. *Afterwards we will strain the milk and get it cooled and clean up. *Before you leave we will give you the opportunity to taste any of the products from our farm with the option to purchase milk at a 50% discount. *Congrats! • Airplane Flight over Portland
People love coming to Portland for the donuts, the food, and whatever else makes Portland, Portland. We get it...it can be a fun place. Once you arrive we will introduce ourselves and discuss the safety of our experience, grab a free drink, and take a quick bathroom break for the first 15 minutes or so then load up the plane! Afterwards we will embark on a 20minute flight (approximate)! Throughout the flight, we'll do our part to make Portland one of your favorite cities– it's certainly one of ours, but then again, we're biased! On this tour you'll get awesome views of Mount Hood, the Columbia River, the city, and whatever else you can spot along the way. Enjoy a nice aerial stroll above the Willamette River, flying over Willamette Falls in Oregon City, the urban landscape of Downtown, and more of the special landmarks that make Portland such a unique place. Other things to note: We fly year-round, rain or shine (as long as it's safe), hot or cold, so please dress accordingly. Be sure to bring a camera :) *Flight times are approximate and may vary based on different factors
