For those visiting during the festive period the cottage is decorated for Christmas. Providing free parking, the cottage is ideal for Whitby with its abbey, pavilion and museum, as well as a large variety of shops and eating places. The nearest shop selling essentials, as well as local produce, glasses of wine and G & T’s, is 250 yards away. Also in the village are two local pubs plus three cafés, the Yorkshire coast’s only 2 AA Rosette restaurant and a seafood restaurant, all within easy walking distance. Whilst at Sunnyside, you need never use your car as there are many varied local walks such as to Runswick Bay or Robin Hood’s Bay, with the option of returning by local bus.
