Indawo
Casita Galgo (meaning Little Greyhound house) provides spacious, comfortable and airy accommodation. Access is through an original door into the private courtyard where you can enjoy wining and dining in the sun!

On the ground floor is a large twin bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, walk in shower, toilet, basin and window. The bedroom has two large windows, one looking out over the valley and the other into the courtyard, allowing for cooling cross breezes.

There are outside stairs leading up to the open plan living area, giving the best views from the entire cortijo through the three large windows. There is a comfortable sofa, satellite television and a wood burner for cooler evenings.

The fully equipped kitchen area has an electric oven/hob plus a fridge with a small freezer compartment: essential for cooling the local beer and wine! A good range of plates, pots, glasses etc. allow for home from home, relaxed food preparation.

Basics (such as salt, pepper, oil, washing up liquid etc.) are provided as part of our service.There is a kitchen table to seat two for dining.

Outside and downstairs there is a private courtyard surrounded by traditional high white walls.. You are not overlooked by the other casitas. There is a covered shady area for really hot summer days, patio furniture and a barbecue based in the chimney breast of what was the original outside kitchen: make the most of the outside living for which sunny Andalucia is justifiably famous! Guests are welcome to smoke outside in their own courtyard.

Set up in the mountains some 8 km from the town of Iznajar, Cortijo Las Rosas is located close to the largest lake in Andalucia. This provides us with an inland beach right on the edge of The Subbetica – a national park dotted with traditional ‘white villages’. Our local village of Fuentes de Cesna is within walking distance or a 3 minute car drive.

Apart from day trips to the various historic cities of Andalucia, there are opportunities for walking, cycling, horse riding, bird watching and other outdoor pursuits. Marylynne and Gillian are on hand to provide welcome packs and help and information if required. You can enjoy a tranquil break far removed from the usual tourist traps provided by more commercial accommodation.

We currently have two small rescue dogs and three rescue cats. The dogs are supervised when outside and do not mix freely with guests.
