This is a cute older home that we are restoring. We have finished the first floor and it is nicely decorated, very functional, and quite comfortable. The second floor and basement are locked off while more renovation is done when the house is vacant.

The Agape Restoration Cottage is a lovely older home that we are remodeling in Frankfort, Michigan, a beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing beach town located on Lake Michigan where the Betsie River empties into Lake Michigan. We just launched this as a vacation rental property in December, 2015 and are currently offering exceptionally inexpensive / cheap introductory rates on this property. We believe that it works particularly well for an inexpensive and economical romantic getaway to northern Michigan. At present, the first floor is open for vacation rentals, with the second floor and the basement closed off for additional renovation work. (The additional renovation work is only done while guests are not present.) The first floor includes a very nice living room, dining area, kitchen, pantry, bedroom, and bathroom. It is heated and fully-suited for vacation rentals year-round. While the additional renovation work is going on, we are offering this cottage at a very discounted and inexpensive price. We truly believe this cottage is an exceptional deal!

The cottage is located at 207 7th Street in Frankfort. It is located on the beautiful 116-mile scenic highway of M-22 as it goes through Frankfort. The house is just a short 5 to 10 minute walk from beautiful downtown Frankfort, Lake Michigan, and Betsie Lake. (It is exactly 0.6 miles from Frankfort Beach and Lake Michigan.) It is also conveniently close to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and Crystal Mountain Resort. It is fully furnished (including all sheets and bedding, dishes, kitchen utensils, a coffee maker, and even free coffee). The kitchen includes an electric range (stovetop and oven), refrigerator, microwave, blender, crockpot, and toaster that are all new within the past 3 years. The bedroom has 1 queen-size bed, so the cottage sleeps 2 people comfortably. We have lovingly decorated the cottage in a traditional, but bright and colorful manner. The cottage has an open floor plan design, with great natural lighting throughout the home. Free cable television and excellent high-speed WiFi internet service (both through Charter Spectrum) are included at no cost.

Outside of the house, there is a completely fenced-in backyard, so the cottage works great for dogs and other pets. We are very dog-friendly and pet-friendly! The back deck also has a gas grille as well as an outdoor table with 4 chairs and an umbrella. There are 4 additional plastic chairs on the deck that are available if needed. There are 2 reclining lounge chairs available in the backyard for relaxing.

The location of the cottage provides for a nice romantic couples getaway to explore northern Michigan, particularly Benzie, Leelanau, and Grand Traverse counties. We invite you to explore all of the year-round beauty that the area has to offer: Lake Michigan, fantastic beaches, restaurants, shops, wineries, and Sleeping Bear Dunes. Boating, hiking, bicycling, rollerblading, scenic drives, sunbathing on Lake Michigan beaches, shopping, and dining are all nearby. The cottage is also only 45 minutes (35 miles) west of Traverse City if guests desire "bigger city" attractions like shopping malls. We truly believe that this cottage provides a lovely, but economical and inexpensive, means for a couple, individual, or small group to explore all that northwest Michigan has to offer.
