Welcome to Artists' Habitat! Our space is perfect if you are looking for rest and relaxation and inspiration. We offer sun drenching, star watching, respite and reflection. This sublime studio is complete with private bathroom, shaded porch and garden view. We look forward to your arrival.

Indawo
Our little boutique style studio is sweetly small. Its 200 square feet is ideal for one or perfect for two who want to explore the town. It sits in a row of four guest rooms in an historic motor court, originally built in the early nineteen hundreds to house workers who constructed Elephant Butte Dam. The guest room boasts a garden view with deck chairs on the front porch. Sit and relax in the shade provided by the resident elm tree.

Studio 0 features a full size bed and a cozy sitting areas. Tim’s handcrafted furniture accents the tranquil design. Being built over 100 years back, the private, light-filled bathroom has a two foot wide doorway and a small walk-in shower. Coffee, tea, and organic creamer are included as well.

For those interested in the healing arts, you can enhance your experience by adding massage therapy and/or hot mineral water soaking. We provide a lists of therapists and hot springs all dedicated to your well being who are available.

We are located in the heart of the hot springs district and walking distance to all hot springs and many other establishments.

We use biodegradable, fragrance-free cleaning products also made at home.

T or C as the locals call it, was formerly named Ojo Caliente de Las Palomas or Hot Springs of the Doves. It was a Place of Peace where everyone came and laid their differences aside to cleanse themselves in the sacred waters. Today, it remains an eclectic town where artists, healers and cowboys merge over the hot springs basin.

Our Habitat is superbly located on this basin in the historic bathhouse district and nestled near the Rio Grande River. Walk to restaurants, shops, galleries, grocery stores, hot springs bath houses and one of two parks along the Rio Grande River.

If you are with us the second Saturday of the month, you will enjoy hopping the colorful art hop through the downtown district. See local art and get to know some of the local color.
Treat yourself to an outing and take in the desert beauty by hiking along the nearby Healing Waters Trail or floating down the river in season.

Sierra County offers more bodies of water than just the springs and river. Drive 10 minutes, and you will find yourself in the captivating Elephante Butte Lake. Take a walk along the beach, yes, the beach and swim in the warm desert water.

Drive 20 minutes in the other direction and you will come across the enchanting and less trafficked, Caballo Lake.

Take a detour and visit Spaceport America. Tours are offered from the Spaceport Visitor's Center located downtown.

For the Buddhist in you, get your Puja on at Karma Jur Med Ling Dharma Center. Come sit with the Tibetan founder, Lama Karma Rinchen, at this diamond in the desert.

Turner Ranches offers expedition tours at one of its two pristine ranches surrounding our county, the Ladder and Armendaris Ranch.

For the real adventurer take a drive south to White Sands National Park and stop in Hatch along the way to eat at the famous Sparky's Barbecue.
