"El Paraíso" is a rustic getaway situated atop cliffs overlooking beautiful Samana Bay. It offers private bungalow rooms perfect for couples with a series of activities nearby including: zip lines, whale watching, diving, renown beaches and more.

Constructed from local materials that blend into the surrounding ecosystem, its a place where you can immerse yourself in nature, find tranquility and connect with your inner self and your beloved ones.

Our most popular room! Plenty of space, a sofa bed, sitting hamocks a private jacuzzi and complete view of the bay.

Your room is its own private entity and does not share walls with another room. Speaking of walls it does not have a front wall! This ensures you fully grasp the unique paradise experience as it provides a spectacular view and a cool breeze year round without affecting your privacy.

That being said, there is no air conditioning in the room and its equipped with a ceiling fan instead. There is also a sofa bed in the room.

There are more rooms in the house available with prices starting from $150 per night. Feel free to search for "Casa El Paraiso, Las Galeras" in your search engine to find those.

Whats included in price:

• Dominican breakfast is served daily at 8:00 a.m.. The breakfast includes assorted tropical fruits, eggs, and native dishes such as fried yucca, mangú (mashed plantains) or sweet potatoes.

• Housekeeping services are provided daily. Our personnel will be available to waitress from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tips are very welcome for our staff.

• Our kitchen is available for our guests if they prefer to grocery shop nearby and cook their own food. We also encourage our guests to bring their own alcohol bottles at no extra cost.

Services with additional charge:

• If you prefer to stay in for dinner, we can arrange for our professional Italian Chef Mirko to cook for you the best food in town, ranging from USD $40 - $80 p/p.

• Keep in mind our drinks and meals selection is limited. At your request we can make a list of your favorite ones so they are available when you arrive.

• We are happy to prepare picnic baskets for your excursions, with light lunch snacks and soft drinks.

Additional services can be paid with cash or through Airbnb. No credit cards accepted.

"El Paraíso" is part of La Guazuma: a small rural village located in the outskirts of Las Galeras (about an 7 minute drive) and just 30 minutes away from the town of Samana. The locals rarely speak english but they are very humble and friendly.

Las Galeras is a small fishing town where you can buy basic food, very fresh staple foods, seafood and fruits produced in the region. You can also find local art shops.

Overall the Province of Samana has activities available to suite a variety of interests and has beautiful landscapes all around. You may find useful information on websites like Tripadvisor, Lonely Planet and our Guidebook.

We are a couple of veterinarians who specialize in small and exotic animals (and horses!); and have been practicing in Santo domingo for over 33 years. Nature lovers and a great passion for animals has led us to many travel adventures, usually to observe them in their natural habitats around the world.

We are conservationists and for us the environment comes first. We love the sea and going sailing in our small catamaran where we've enjoyed all the beautiful beaches of the Bay.
