Cozy and modern apt., high ceiling in the mountain village of Ustaoset. Start hiking and skiing from the front door. Easy access, parking right outside and elevator. Stunning view of Hallingskarvet. 300 m to train-station. Fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, large bedroom w/ double bed, mattress for kids + baby cot + a loft with 2 mattresses. Shared wireless and communal laundry room access. Guest must bring own bed sheets and do final cleaning.

The apartment is unique because it provides a starting point to enjoy the mountains any time of the year. After spending the day outdoor you can just relax with a glas of red wine and watch the changing view of the stunning Hallingskarvet mountain range.

Ustaoset is a stunning location 1000 meters above sea level centrally located on the main road between Bergen and Oslo (RV7) and 300 m from the railway station that allows for easy access by car or train. Start skiing or hiking directly into the excellent skipaths during winter and hiking in summe and autumn.

Ustaoset is a small mountain village with mostly cabins 1000 meter above sea level. Ustaoset has its own rail station and the main road batween Oslo and Bergen nr. 7 passes right through the village.

The community has its own store providing all your food needs and is open 7 days a week. There is also a small gass station with a kiosk. See Ustaoset vell or Jokeren Ustaoset for updatet info on opening times.

The nearest town is Geilo, only 10 minutes away, has plenty of restaurants and stores for all you need. Here you find several options for down hill skiing and renting of skiing equipment. Vestlia resort has a pool area of 750 square meters with an 82 meters long waterslide, 20 meters pool and activity pool, bubble bath and a children’s pool. We have been hosting since 2017 enjoy sharing cosy and modern appartement in the Norwegian mountains of Uststaoset and Hardangervidda with our guests. We enjoy the outdoors when traveling. In winter we like to go skiing with the family in weekends or enjoy our hometown of Bergen. We also enjoy eating out when traveling. We have lived abroad both individually and as a family and we have traveled extensively on several continents. Our oldest daughter visited more than 10 countries by the age of 3 and we know how perfect a nice airbnb home can be when accommodated for kids.

The place is accessed by a lock box for guest convenience and you can arrive any time after 1300. We live in Bergen several hours away and will not meet guests in person. However we have received a 5 star rating and often get positive reviews from guest for our follow up of questions and requests from guest and are available by phone and airbnb message app. We have prepared an information folder for guests in the appartment.
