This is a lovely daylight basement studio/efficiency apartment. Big windows provide lots of light. There's a full kitchen, full bath and a large room with a bed, sitting area and desk. We provide a TV for viewing DVD's, however we are NOT hooked up to cable for tv. We are a TV-Free home upstairs and downstairs. We are 5 blocks from the Skagit Valley Hospital and 6 blocks from downtown Mount Vernon, including our well known Skagit Valley Co-op.

There is parking on a concrete slab right outside the entrance of the studio and no stairs to climb. You will have your own entrance. There is a very comfortable queen size bed and a double size sofa-sleeper. (Please let us know when you make your reservation if you'd like the couch made out into a bed.) There is a full kitchen with pots and pans, dishes, etc. The full bathroom includes a shower/tub combination.

We moved to Washington from Albuquerque in 2015 when our first grandchild, Leelah, was born. Since then we have added Theo (2018) and Owen (2020). We are pretty much home bodies which works well with Airbnb hosting. We love our home and we love sharing it with travelers. We want them to relax, rejuvenate, and feel at home.

We live in the house above the daylight basement. As a semi-retired couple, we are on the premises much of the time. In spite of our efforts to be quiet (we are naturally a pretty quiet couple!), you may hear sounds of daily living from our part of the house from time to time. It's called life!
