Set in this lovely Yorkshire village with a pub and a church 150yds away, The Den is adjacent to the main house with one double bed with ensuite wetroom, a living space and kitchen. Patio seating set in pleasant gardens overlooking countryside.

Separate to the main house with parking available on the drive. The Den is a small cottage/ snug with plenty of space for two. The accommodation is all on the ground floor. Entrance doorway and separate French doors lead out onto the patio/garden. There are two rooms including a kitchen/ diner lounge and adjacent bedroom with a double bed and ensuite wet room.
There is space and facilities for a couple to have a cot for a baby, or space on the floor for a toddler/young child in the bedroom if required, please just ask.

Kathryn & Trevor and their family have lived in the village since 2001. Having lived in Botswana, and travelled extensively they have benefitted from the generosity and kindness of people opening their homes, offering a room and giving them a meal; even covering medical expenses. Hosting is not their full time roles but they love meeting guests from near and far.

“So it is a great pleasure to welcome folk to our property. It is our attention and care to our guests needs that make a difference and hopefully allow people to feel comfortable and able to relax.”

‘The Den’ is a great space in a quaint setting with easy access especially to The Dales. There are alternatives in the village and in the area, many sharing similar attitudes and care of guests who we would strongly recommend. Failing that you might prefer the local travel lodges, practical but not quite that ‘little getaway’.
