We moved from western Canada back to our Maritime roots and built a rustic home to share with new friends and old. Located upon a rolling hilltop of over 50 acres, we offer a great view and a quiet retreat, easily found off Hwy 104 (Exit #38) about half way from Halifax to Sydney, just west of the Canso Causeway.
We have 2 rooms - each has it's own private entry so guests can come and go at their leisure to go for a walk or visit the local beach at Cape Jack (beach towels provided).

Full Breakfast (yogurt parfait, muffins, juice, tea, coffee, eggs, hashbrowns, toast) served from 7-9 am. Vegan & GF can be arranged.
Non scent cleaning products used for those with allergies.
Satellite TV, WiFi Internet & alarm clock.
Iron/ironing board available.
Each room equipped with apt size fridge/freezer if you bring beverages/food.
Each room has private 4 pc bath with hair dryer, soap, shampoo, etc.
Private outside entry to patio with ocean view.
Beach towels provided.
Outside chairs to enjoy the summer evenings, star gaze or enjoy a glass of wine.

Located on Cape Jack Road, in Havre Boucher, a short distance from Cape Jack Beach, overlooking St Georges Bay on Northumberland Straight with view of Port Hood Island. Close drive to Bayfield , Pomquet or Port Hood Beach. Short drive to experience Cape Breton Celtic Colors (October) and attend one of many concerts in 34 communities or to see our rugged coastline & magnificent mountains of the Highlands along the Cabot Trail. We are a little over 1 hr drive to Cabot Links Golf Course, plus you can enjoy Cabot Cliffs, Highland Links, Dundee & Bell Courses.
We are about 10 minutes from Port Hawkesbury (*stop in at the Tourist Bureau/Gift Shop) where you can enjoy free Sunday evening concerts at Granville Green. Alone the way, enjoy fine dining at The Cove Motel Dining Room, with a beautiful view on the water of the Canso Causeway - you may see some whales or dolphins!! Gary's Groceries in Havre Boucher, offers a great variety of snacks & beverages, or stop in Monastery (10 km west) for gas, snacks, liquor or Big Mama's (great pizza & fish 'n chips).

We moved home to the area where we grew up (after 40 yrs) and built our retirement retreat. Neil enjoyed the west and you will see it’s influence in the design of our home. Shelley enjoys baking, gardening, chickens and the nearby beach. You will enjoy her home made muffins & jams & fresh eggs for your breakfast! This has been a new adventure for us and we are always eager & excited to share our home & meet new friends that visit us from around the globe!
