This property is situated right on the Wild Atlantic Way. It is located in a small collection of houses with gated parking and right across the road from the beach. Finished to a high standard and with the glorious Ballyheigue beach at your doorstop and the quaint Ballyheigue village right next to you the property makes a perfect summer vacation spot or as a base to explore all the wonders of Kerry and the rest of the West of Ireland.

Indawo
The ground floor of the house is a large open plan space with a lounge area, a center piece fireplace, a dining area and a very modern kitchen with all the expected appliances, including a dishwasher and large fridge. There is also a TV on this floor with a chrome cast attached so you can cast to it from your phone or tablet.

The first floor comprises of 3 bedrooms, each of which has a double bed. Both of the bathrooms are fitted out to very high standards, with both of the showers being fitted with both rain forest shower heads and body jets.
The en-suite in the master also has a large modern bathtub and his and her sinks. The master bedroom also has a large walk in wardrobe.

The roof space is is a large relaxation area with books, sofa's, reading chairs, large bean bags and a pop up TV which rises up out of the bookcase when needed, or can be hidden away for quiet times. (please feel free to take a book home with you or leave one behind). The TV on the top floor is connected to a satellite box so you can watch some local TV or it can also be cast to.

The large round window in this room looks out over the fields behind the property and the ocean can be seen from the balcony... If you are using the balcony i would ask that you do not wear high heals as the heals may damage the balcony waterproofing.

For groups larger than 6 there are 2 fold out beds that can easily be moved into the larger bedrooms if you have smaller children staying with you, or can be set up in either of the lounge rooms.

County Kerry, Ireland

Ballyheigue is a lovely little country village with several good local shops where you will be able to buy any food or other bit and bobs you may want. There are also several pubs and places to eat and the pups have live music several nights of the week during the summer months.

In the summer Ballyheigue is a busy little seaside town with lots going on, both on the beach and in the town. Kayaking, surfing, fishing and lots more besides. In the winter it a quite and sleepy little place. If you like the idea of sitting around a real coal fire over a pint of beer and getting to know the locals then the winter is a lovely time to stay and Tralee and everything a big town has to offer is still only a 15 minuet drive away.

Ballyheigue beach is part of a 7 mile stretch of sandy beach continuing on to Banna Beach and further on to Barrow Harbour. During the Summer the beach is manned by Lifeguards.
Angling is popular at the beach and on the rocks further on. Plaice, sea-bass mackerel are among the fish caught.
The imposing ruins of Ballyheigue Castle which was burned down in 1921 overlooks the village.
The grounds of the castle are now the location of a nice 9 hole golf course which is used by locals and visitors.
