SURFACES AND LINENS SANITIZED AFTER EACH GUEST

Come get away from it all—while conveniently located close to everything—at Laurel Branch Gardens, a 12-acre family farm that uses organic growing practices. About 100 yards from the farm house, the cabin is a old tobacco barn renovated to include a sleeping loft, full kitchen, bathroom, and living area.

Meet the pigs, chickens and goats. Lay in the hammock. Listen to bird calls. Practice social distancing in a serene natural setting.

Indawo
While you’re here, we hope that you'll explore the farm—including a visit to the pigs, goats, and chickens and the trails around the property that lead to Laurel Creek. Or, just come for the great location. Everything is accessible from here: we’re 12 minutes from the airport, 10 from Falls Lake, 20 from downtown Durham and Research Triangle Park, and 25 from downtown Raleigh.

For whatever reason you find yourself here, we’ll welcome you farm fresh eggs and a comfortable and clean space.

All guests welcome! Two medium-sized dogs also call the farm home; both are very loving and likely to come say hi at some point.

Please note that, as pictured, a bed and futon are always available. We also have high-quality camping pads that can be used when more sleeping spaces are needed; just let us know! We also have spaces for tent-camping if your group wants to spread out. We do not host events and our maximum number of guests is four.

We are happy to host small and medium dogs at the cabin (we are unable to host guests with cats). If you would like to bring a dog, please indicate this in your initial message. There is a $50 non-refundable fee for up to two dogs.

Indawo

Durham, North Carolina, United States

We are in a rural area right on the edge of Durham County. Surrounded on three sides by forests, our farm feels secluded but is also convenient to restaurants, a movie theater, and shopping-the closest of which are less than 10 minutes away. Peaceful is one of the characteristics our guests use most often to describe our farm.

My partner Evan and I moved from California to NC in 2007 and have been enjoying life in the Triangle ever since. Together, we are raising two young kids and a fair number of crops while I also work off the farm, primarily on HIV prevention, care and treatment projects in Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa. Evan farms full time and sells to multiple restaurants in Raleigh (so we're happy to make recommendations for some great places to eat). We both love being outdoors and the peace of being slightly out of town and are excited to share that with others looking for some space to breathe and relax.

We're easily accessible to answer any questions about the farm or to help point you in the direction of nearby restaurants, shops, museums, parks, etc. During COVID-19, we often have these interactions via the app to make sure we're keeping all guests as safe as possible.

Since farming requires early mornings and we have two young kids, we're generally available from about 7 AM to 8 PM and will be slower to respond after 8.
