There is a well stocked store in the village which also houses the post office, swap shop for books and DVDs and off licence.
For anyone interested in ancient historical sites Argyll has plenty including Dunstaffnage Castle and Dunollie Castle. To step back further in history, a trip down to Kilmartin Museum and Glen is a must. Details of these and other attractions are at the cottage.
The local nine hole golf course is across the fence! Day and weekly tickets are available at the local shop.
Kayaking and sailing are popular sports and trips to see wildlife from the sea are available in Clachan Seil and Ellenabeich.
If you don't fancy cooking, food is available at three local hostelries; the Puffer Bar on Easdale Island, the Oyster Bar in Ellenabeich and the Tigh a Truish in Clachan Seil. Bespoke dining with an accent on seafood is available with Drew at the Fisherman's kitchen just down the road.
Fine Dining can be had in Oban at The Manor House Hotel.
REMEMBER : booking a reservation is essential.
A selection of walking routes will be available in the cottage as well as maps.
However, this is a place to kick back and chill, have a quiet leisurely time, see what a really dark sky looks like and if the time is right witness shooting stars.

I came to Argyll in Scotland some 25 years ago and was captivated by the landscape and community. I stayed!!
A few years ago I moved to my favourite place... the Isle of Seil.. steeped in history ... most famous for its pretty little whitewashed buildings ... many previously the homes to slate workers in the 19th century.
It's a quiet life with a buzzing community atmosphere.
I have time to soak up the quiet, appreciate the landscape, garden and cook.
