A newly renovated former stable with a lovely private pool on the outskirts of the beautiful medieval city of Pistoia and only 30 minutes from Florence. Il Poderino is stylishly furnished with a modern and luxurious feel this lovely apartment is perfect for a romantic get away or family holiday.

Equipped with a kitchen and dining room with induction hob and fridge freezer, comfortable living room with a flat screen TV, pellet burner and WiFi, a double bedroom with flat screen TV and with the possibility of adding a single bed or baby cot (free of charge), and a modern and stylish with large shower. A high chair is also available.

The apartment has a system with heat pumps for air conditioning in summer and warm air in winter.

The pool is set to the back of the apartment, reached by a short walk through the beautiful olive grove.

The newly landscaped garden boasts a lovely swimming pool which is surrounded by olive trees. French doors from the kitchen/ living lead to the outdoor patio which is comfortably furnished. There is a nice BBQ area for the guests to use.

The swimming pool is used by the owners family on occasion. The swimming pool is closed between November and April.

Nearby Pistoia the Italian capital of culture 2017: Between history, nature and folklore. Pistoia can be reached by public transport or by car/ taxi. It is under a 10 minute drive.

Florence is only 30 minutes away.

Background
Founded in Roman times, it became an important bishopric in the V century.

The Piazza del Duomo is defined by the main buildings that have characterized the fulcrum of the religious and political life of the city over the centuries.

Here you can admire the Palazzo Pretorio, the Cathedral of San Zeno, the Palazzo Comunale, the Baptistery, and the bell tower.

In addition to these important historical buildings, we also mention the Ceppo hospital decorated by the Robbiano frieze, the parish church of S. Andrea with the pulpit by Giovanni Pisano and the church of San Giovanni Fuorcivitas.

For music lovers, the month of July is full of events and concerts regarding the Blues Festival that takes place in Piazza Duomo and attracts internationally renowned artists.

July 25 is the feast of the patron saint of the city, San Jacopo, and for this anniversary Pistoia makes a leap back in the Middle Ages, proposing the Joust of the Bear, an equestrian event and with the historical parade in costumes of the time.

Moreover Pistoia has been awarded the Italian Capital of Culture for the year 2017.

Pistoia also offers very interesting nature trails, walking and trekking for everyone.

There is also a beautiful Zoo to visit with your children to spend a healthy day in contact with animals and nature.
