The Tao Farm is a quiet space and lively community for travelers looking to disconnect from the noise of the modern world, reconnect with nature, and be inspired by new perspectives. On a secluded beach, it’s a proud demonstration of tourism harnessed to build resilient communities through local businesses, training programs, food production systems, and resourceful design. Every day the Farm has a wide mix of ages, nationalities, and backgrounds to make for a diverse and vibrant atmosphere.

Indawo
Camps on the Tao Farm are right by the beach and have spaces to lounge and unwind as well as converse and connect.

The Tao Farm is on a secluded beach by the coast of San Fernando, an hour drive from El Nido Town. From the coast, guests can arrive by boat or 700 meter-long trail through lush trees.

The Tao Foundation Building
Meet members of The Women’s Foundation and see the making of coconut soaps, coconut shampoos, and other products at the community shop. Also in the Foundation Building are open spaces for yoga, lectures, and galleries.

Hammocks and Sun Loungers
Get comfortable under the shade of the coconut trees and unwind with a book.

The Farm
An experimental food system and permaculture project where we grow native produce, raise pigs and livestock, and use inland springs to collect water.

Tukas
Guests sleep in their own Tuka - Tao's signature bamboo sleeping hut. The bird beak design catches the ocean breeze and allows it to flow through the open front and back ends and raised floor. Each Tuka is good for 2 people and is equipped with mattresses, beddings, pillows, mosquito nets, and a socket for charging gadgets

Toilets and showers are shared and electricity is turned on only at night.

Food and Drink

The Kantina
The seat of our farm-to-table island cuisine and 7-course dinner experience. Cooks use traditional cooking infrastructure and techniques while guests can watch from their front-row-seats by the bar top. Dishes are Filipino island cuisine made with vegetables, fruits, and livestock grown in the Tao Farm and seafood caught from nearby waters.

The Beach Club
Serves cocktails, juices, and snacks all day. A great space to meet other travelers and hang out with the Tao Lost Boys. .

Activities

Explore the Island
Enjoy the quiet beach, walk around the Farm, find a forest trail. The whole space is yours to discover.

Beach volleyball and basketball
Challenge other travelers or the Tao crew to a friendly match.

Swim, Kayak, Snorkel, and Paddle board
Get on a kayak or paddle board and enjoy the calm waters. Grab a snorkel and find the best spot. Go night swimming and try your luck at catching micro-phosphorescence (they're plankton that light up when disturbed).

Get a Massage
Get a relaxing massage from the members of our Tao Women's Foundation (it feels all the better after all those activities).
