Hi! I am Pay, The Manager of Dao Lodge. Over the period 2012-2016 Caritas Switzerland supported Nam Dam village to develop community-based tourism with an aim to conserve and develop the cultural richness of Dao ethnic minority in Ha Giang. Dao People are well-known for their indigenous knowledge of traditional medicine, their naturally harmonious way of life, their family and community structure, and their spiritual practices. We hope the appreciation of guests may make them proud of and conserve their traditional culture.

After two years, Caritas Switzerland phased out its support in Ha Giang and Vietnam, the Nam Dam community then run CBT by its own. I manage Dao Lodge on behalf of the Nam Dam village.

I hope you enjoy staying in Nam Dam. Staying here all your spending is directly contribute to cultural preservation and CBT development in the village.
