Mexico City is one of the biggest cities in the world, and it is not easy to navigate. If you are on a budget, the metro (subway) is great, but is crowded. If not, Uber works very well. Depending on how much time you have go to the following places:
1. Downtown/Zocalo ... get a compressed view of all things Mexican - Aztec pyramids, Colonial churches, ... try to eat at the "Azul Historico" restaurant if you can.
2. San Angel (Saturday)... go to the famous EL Bazaar Sabado (URL HIDDEN) , have breakfast there, walk around. It is a beautiful part of town.
3. Museo Nacional de Antropologia .. one of the top museums in the world ... everything about Mayans, Aztecs etc. ( (URL HIDDEN)
4. To supplement #3, go to Teotihuacan ... outside of the city but worth it ( (URL HIDDEN) )
5. Must eat some real Mexico City tacos. Ask any native for his/her favorite, go there.
6. Go to Coyoacan - visit the main plaza, go to Frida Kahlo's home ( (URL HIDDEN) ), have lunch at the market downtown
