Ony 20 meters away from the beach, in a quiet part of the village, well protected from the traffic and yet close to the center, restaurants, bars and shops is where our house is situated. The apartment is on the second floor.

It is a cosy air-conditioned apartment with a large terrace and sea-view, a private bathroom and a kitchen corner, fully furnished and equipped with all the essential kitchenware, toiletries, towels and bedding, SAT-TV and wi-fi. Excellent protection that a modern sunshade offers ensures a pleasant stay on the terrace even during the sunniest hours of the day.
Guests have 24/7 access to extra towels and toiletries. Extra bedding can also be obtained from the host whenever needed. Cleaning is included in the price. Laundry can be done at request.
A fold-out sofa in the room can easily be turned into an extra bed, with an additional charge.
Free parking is provided on the private parking lot next to the house or on the city-parking lot only a 100 meters away.
Our guests are most welcome to use the additional facilities that the lobby area with an adjacent kitchen offers: a coffee machine, a dish-washer, an oven, a side to side fridge with an ice-maker and an indoor barbeque. An extra large screen SAT-TV and wi-fi connection add quality to their individual use of this area or for gatherings.
Lemon and tangereen trees and other greenery around the house add to the feeling of comfort, warmth and relaxation that the house offers. A friendly and welcoming atmosphere is something you can always count on during your stay.

My name is Marina Granic Skender. I was born in London where my mum (a beautiful Italian air hostess from Rome) and my dad ( a handsome young waiter from Croatia) fell in love and got married. We moved to Baska Voda, my father’s birthplace, when I was only 6 months old and I suppose it was then that my enormous passion for travelling, discovering new places and meeting people around the world started. I live with my husband Zarko in our family house which we inherited from my parents, together with my mother’s legacy of a host whose excellence was recognized and awarded even by the Croatian National Tourist Board. Our son Jure is an IT engineer and he lives in Split where he runs his small software company which keeps him so busy that I’m the happiest when he finds some time to come home. Keeping fit is a part of my daily routine and I enjoy my power walks along the seashore during the winter. I love swimming and I usually manage to stretch my swimming season from late April until mid November. I am an English and Italian teacher and I teach English in a primary school in Makarska. It is a great job for me not only because I enjoy working with my pupils but also because of the long summer break which enables me to have free time to dedicate myself to my guests during the busy summer season. I am more than happy whenever I am there for them if they need any help, advice or information I can provide. :)
