Refurbished, self contained, heated caravan behind 70 yr old farmhouse. 1 km to Havelock, historical town in center of 1500 kms of winding coastline, secluded bays and island sanctuaries. Set in one of New Zealand's sunniest spots and in New Zealand's largest winegrowing region. My home is carved out of a working sheep farm and dairy farm. Peace, views, birdsong will put you at peace. In off season months, book for 2 nights, helpout 3 hrs per person, per additional day for up to 5 more.

The Caravan contains electric stove top, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, fan, heater, pots, pans, cutlery etc. Bring your own sleeping bag or rent sheets and pillowcase for $5 for 2 sets, per stay. Towels free. Additional covered cooking area in Plant Conservatory next to Main House. Shower and toilet in main house. What makes my space unique is that there are plenty of farm animals around yet you can glimpse the water which is less than 1.5kms away. Enjoy boat rides thru the Sounds, visit local Wineries, walk the coastal Walking Tracks etc. My cats are very friendly. My five canaries are happy and chirpy, males burst into song daily. I have Lulu, friendly goat to keep the grass down in my paddock, where my two brown shaver chooks and their rooster friend live, Free range, so fresh eggs are sometimes available.
Small dog allowed provided it has been washed within last 8 days
if it smells it sleeps in you car

The main attraction is the peace and tranquility of the farmland, together with the proximity to the water, walking trails, vineyards and local attractions. I especially recommend the Mail Run (especially on weekdays) Kaituna Stream running behind the property for a quick paddle, but you are less than a km from Mapua Sound and 15 kms from Pelorus River.
