Max the dog will bark whenever someone comes to the door, then calm right down after meeting and sniffing. He even barks when I come home, and as a senior rescue, it’s just his behavior. If you bend down a bit and let him sniff he should get quiet soon. Cassi Cat is friendly but does not like to be picked up. Interacting with my pets is NOT expected of you, but hopefully you are an animal lover if you picked this space. They do not have access to guest space unless you allow them in, but I attempt to keep it pet-free.

This condo association primarily consists of retirees and has quiet hours 10p-8a. Very convenient location on South side near Hwy 63, Grindstone Pkwy, and S Providence Rd. Easy access to UMC sporting events and concerts, and Medical facilities. Shopping and dining nearby or Downtown, but not in close walking distance. Lots of restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, and gas stations right in the neighborhood. Wooded area with access to Katy trail, also.

I’m a Snowbird between Florida and Missouri, with a flexible schedule due to being partially retired. “Change is the only thing constant” is my life motto. I’ve had a varied background as a grant writer for women’s shelters, owner of a whole grains bakery, and owner/educator of the Massage Therapy Institute of Missouri. I’m the Mom of 4 boys; now a Grandmother. My recent volunteering is centered mostly around senior pets, having fostered over 10 dogs and 9 cats in the last 5 years. My current permanent critters are a 15 y/o Lynx kitty, Cassi, and a recently adopted 11 y/o American Eskimo, Maxwell (aka Fluffy-Butt). They are good travelers and well-behaved guests. Cassi has always had dog siblings and much prefers them to other felines. She likes to go outside where we stay, but prefers a good easy chair most of the time. She can use a doggie door. I’m the type of guest that is happy to pitch in and help with plants or resident pets. I’m generally out during the days, but rarely anywhere other than “home” after dusk. I like to get my rest, and have a good area to walk Max. I do like to get some minimal cooking done when I have a chance, and my tastes range from Southern style dishes to Vegan fare. I’m pretty tidy, and will leave my room close to the condition in which I find it. I am a bit of a news junkie, and I like to have cable tv. Otherwise, I must have WiFi in order to use my tablet. I do enjoy human interaction, and it’s always great to make new pals, but I also like my space. I have traveled extensively in the USA, all but 4 of the continental states, and typically stay with friends all over that I have known for 45+yrs. Because I’ve always had animal pals in my life, my trips have been limited to shorter trips to the Caribbean, with a bit of MX and Canada. I like going to see old friends and family members to keep in touch, since people mean the most!
