Our local Hospitality
We are only 3 miles from the picturesque Glasson Village, also known as “The Village Of The Roses” due to the gardening skills of the residents.
The village is widely accepted to be the Culinary Capital of rural Ireland.
There are three award winning restaurants in the village itself, Glasson Village Restaurant located in the old police barracks,Grogans of Glasson and The Villager, Glasson are gastro pubs/restaurants opposite each other on the main street both with indoor and outdoor dining facilities and safe garden areas for families to enjoy.
Wineport lodge, home to the tv series “the Restaurant” is 1km away along the lake with stunning lake views and superb menus.
Glasson Golf Hotel is 2 km from the village in the opposite direction (towards Glasson Glamping Farm) and also has stunning lake views with food available.
It has a driving range available at any time for reasonable rates so no excuse for not practising your swing!
Its unique feature is that the lake can be seen from each of the 18 holes.
Killinure Chalets Restaurant is a little known hidden gem 5 km from us along quiet lakeside roads. Uniquely, they don’t take bookings but welcome diners from 6.30 pm. Famous for T-bone steaks served on wooden platters it’s a relaxed dining experience.

If you like to experience a real old authentic Irish pub we have two nearby.
Less than 4 km away on leafy lanes is the old world Murrays of Maghera where the locals are always ready for a chat with plenty of wisdom to impart.
The Three Jolly Pigeons is a similar distance away. Made famous by the poet Oliver Goldsmith in “The Deserted Village”. It is largely unchanged for centuries with a straw thatched roof and a circular doorstep which was the millstone from “The Busy Mill”, also made famous by Goldsmith.
