Suitable for families of all ages as there are no internal stairs. Perfect for guests attending the fabulous nearby Newhall Estate wedding venue.

Off road parking is permitted in the Allan Ramsay Hotel carpark which is located behind the Hotel. A passageway between buildings lead to the apartment’s front door.

(The Hotel has full responsibility for the condition and upkeep of the car park. Please be aware that it may be wet and muddy underfoot in parts if there has been heavy rain)


Alternative parking is available opposite the apartment on the main A702 road, the public carpark at the South end of the village, outside the Church or village hall.


Bike storage for 2 adult bikes available.

A very small garden lies at the rear of the property, unfortunately BBQ’s are not permitted due to the close proximity of domestic gas tanks.

The accommodation is offered on a self catering basis.

Open plan lounge /kitchen area with comfortable seating, TV with freeview channels and free WiFi.

The kitchen area is fully equipped for food preparation and includes a large fridge freezer, cooker, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, etc.
There is an extending dining table which has ample seating for 4 guests.

Fresh milk, tea and coffee biscuits and condiments are provided - please help yourself.


The 2 double sized bedrooms are situated to the rear of the apartment and over look the garden.

Bedroom 1 has one standard double bed

Bedroom 2 offers two full size single beds that can be zipped and linked to provide a luxury Superking if required.

There is ample storage and hanging space within the mirrored fitted wardrobes

The fully tiled shower room has a great power shower, wc, wash hand basin and heated towel rail (please note no bath).

Guests can enjoy toasty gas central heating throughout, with ample hot water on demand.

All bed linen and towels are provided (cotton)

Baby high chair available

For safety reasons no candles or smoking are allowed inside the apartment, however guests wishing to smoke are welcome to do so outside in the rear garden .


Groceries for self catering can be bought at the Co op in the nearby village of West Linton (5 minute drive), where there is also a Pharmacy, Post Office, Deli and Newsagent.


Supermarkets Tesco and Lidl are available in the larger town of Penicuik (10 minute drive). Pizza, Chinese and Indian takeaways may be ordered locally and delivered to your door.


For those preferring to dine out, take a short 5 minute drive / taxi ride to the neighbouring village of West Linton to the ever popular 'Gordon Arms' Hotel.
Round off a busy day beside the log fire and enjoy a night cap from a selection of malt whiskies or real ale.
Delicious pre ordered take -away meals may also be ordered and collected from here
