Harold and Deb have over 46 years of combined experience as physical education educators in North Carolina. They also are founders of a nonprofit organization, Stolen Horse International, also known as NetPosse and have been helping people find missing horses since their own horse was stolen in 1997. Debi is an author, writer and national speaker.

Harold was born in Cleveland County and has never left the 50-acre farm that has been in his family for more than 100 years. The farm was once a cotton farm but in later years has been home to many horses, dogs, children, and grandchildren. The original homestead and tractor are still on the farm.

Nell's Farm House in Shelby, NC is named after Harold's mother. Nell built the house in the '70s where she and her husband worked several jobs so they could pay for it as it was built. Not long after they moved into the home, her husband passed away. Nell only used three rooms in the house and kept it immaculate all the time. Sadly Nell passed away in 2009 at the age of 94 from complications caused by Alzheimer's Disease. The house has been updated but has been kept in a vintage style to honor her memory. The love she had for her home and her family are captured in this vintage rental today.
