The Rockn Rowdy Ranch is a unique 100 acre working exotic wildlife ranch and the Texas family getaway you always dreamed of. Your perfect ranch experience is proudly located in the Lone Star State in the heart of Leona, TX. Leon County, referred to as the 'Deerest Place in Texas', is centrally located between Houston & Dallas, approx. 3 hrs from San Antonio & Austin & 1 hr from College Station.

At Rockn Rowdy, we want you to enjoy and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. You will be amazed by our furry family & exotic wildlife collection of people friendly zebra, donkeys, buffalo, llama, whitetail deer, black buck, red stag, zebu, beefalo, longhorn, belted Galaway, miniature Scottish Highlanders, our lovable brahma 'John Wayne', sheep & lambs, goats, emu, chickens, ducks, peacocks, miniature ponies & donkeys & beautiful horses for guided rides.

We offer many activities to keep you busy during your stay. These activities include horseback riding, pony rides, ride a long feed with our ranch foreman and/or have fun with some competitive family skeet shooting. Please inquire with host for related fees. Do not forget to bring your fishing poles, lures & worms for catch and release action on our beautiful stocked lake. Other lake activities include swimming, floats, paddle boat, kayaks & paddle board. Come cool off in our Farm to Market Pool, a 10ft galvanized steel stock tank pool. It is 2ft deep and perfect for adults & children to cool off. You will love floating in the pool and the kids will love playing in it for hours. There are no activity fees for lake and pool usage.

The Lodge has an expansive front deck with ample seating where you enjoy your morning coffee or a beautiful afternoon relaxing all while watching our furry family as they roam the exotic pasture and pose for amazing pictures.

Nearby towns are Centerville, Buffalo, Jewett & Madisonville which are all very close for grocery shopping and dining. Many of these and other surrounding towns offer summer rodeo and events for more entertainment. Neighboring Jewett has a weekend flea market one weekend a month and 2 weekends in November & December. Google Jewett Trade Days for their 2021 calendar. Local Centerville has a market selling fresh vegetables and other vendors on Saturday mornings depending on weather.

Fort Boggy State Park is a great recommendation for swimming & fishing in their lake. The park also has hiking trails and is only 10 minutes from the ranch.

Many past guests have stayed at the ranch to visit the Texas State Railroad Palestine Depot for their Polar Express. Other current activities for a great adventure is their Dogwood Days Brunch Train, Easter Egg Express, Maydelle Turntable Runs & the Memorial Day Brunch Train. We were not yet ready to retire but both love to travel. Bruce has spent most of his working career as a consultant working offshore and traveling the world. Together have spent the past 9 years visiting over 20 different countries

We also love the outdoors which shows in the exotic animals we have brought to our home. Sitting on the back porch while watching the animals graze, and a beautiful sunset is not only relaxing, but also brings such joy to all our friends and family who has spent many nights at the farm.

Again, as We are not yet ready to retire, we have decided to share our farm for those who love a rustic setting with beautiful views.
