This is a Cycladic farmhouse of 1900’s, with a beautiful panoramic view to the surrounding hills and across farming land towards the sea. It consists of a large living room, kitchen, dining room with fireplace and wide panoramic window view, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with shower and toilet. An extensive garden with tree beds embraces the house, also providing a microclimate to the place.

Indawo
This is a Cycladic farmhouse with stone-paved yards and lofts overgrown with fruit trees. The house faces east and thus morning hours is a daily spectacle. It has been transformed into a more modern home, that visibly retains many of its original features and general feel. In the 1970s, a previous owner created and operated a model plantation of pistachio trees on the surrounding land, that was abandoned some years later but with remains that can be discerned up to day and cultivated numerous trees in the yards and lofts surrounding the house. Five adults can sleep comfortably in 1 double and 3 semi-double beds. In more detail, the house is divided in two separate and independent sections: One consisting of two bedrooms with three semi-double beds and one bathroom, being the smaller independent part of the house, whilst the other section is inclusive of one bedroom with double bed, bathroom, fire place/dining room, kitchen and living room. In this place, one can enjoy rest and serenity, hide from the sun under the mulberry trees, eat apricots or pears from the tree, listen to music, read etc.

The island has splendid beaches. Within 10-30 minutes drive from the house, one can end-up in some beautiful beaches, whether organized or not, of north or south orientation, among them, some of the best of the island. Zorkos bay facing North and only 8 minutes drive from home, is a sandy beach of 400 m long and 80 m wide (!) which gets deep after 5 or 6 metres. There, in a beautiful small tavern with spectacular view you can try local specialities and fresh fish. In general, beaches are spread on both N & S sides of the island, allowing for swimming with all winds, whilst the water is crystal clear everywhere.
The island of Andros is famous for its signposted and cleaned old/hiking trails (some parts of them dating from the venetian domination) with distinguished certification. Amongst others, an interesting walk would be an one day trek up Mt. Petalon (1.000 m), the highest Cycladic mountain, overlooking more than 5 different islands, or through some gorges with watermills on the other side. There are also shorter walks in extremely interesting and beautiful locations, where one can often pass through villages, see old arched bridges, mills and chapels.
The Gavrion port is large, home to a serious fishing fleet and there is an abundance of fresh fish, at a price. There one can find some good restaurants and bars. One can also buy fresh fruits and vegetables directly from the local producers, every morning Monday to Friday. From Gavrion it is easy to make an one day trip to the island of Tinos.
Andros (Hora) the capital of the island with a comprehensive shopping centre and good restaurants, is interesting for its museums such as the Archaeological museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Basil and Elise Goulandris Foundation that hosts various exhibitions of important artists, the Modern Art Museum of Petros and Marika Kydoniefs Foundation and various other exhibitions. The old venetian castle of Hora has a spectacular view and is full of traditional neighbourhoods of rare beauty.
