Welcome to Stable Retreat, a relaxing detached two bedroom converted stables with a cosy wood burner in own 1/2 acre of garden, seating areas and guest BBQ. An all year round destination set in a Waveney Valley village in Norfolk. Check in is via a lockbox adjacent to your own off street parking area. Ideally located for The Broads, the beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk coast and countryside, quaint market towns and historical Norwich. A generous hamper with breakfast items and snacks is included

Welcome to Stable Retreat, our relaxing, detached two bedroom guest accommodation with own large off road parking area, use of own 1/2 acre of garden with various seating areas, a Summer house and guest gas BBQ in a Waveney Valley village in Norfolk. The cosy wood burner makes it an all year round destination! Ideally located for adjacent to The Broads, the Norfolk/Suffolk coast and beaches are less than a 15 minute drive, several local quaint market towns, historical city of Norwich is less than a 30 minute drive away. Enjoy the big open skies of Norfolk!

It is a short walk from your own off road large parking area through the main garden to Stable Retreat.

During the warmer months make use of the large spacious 1/2 acre of garden with various seating areas, the Summer house, relax by the pond area and enjoy the open Norfolk sky by day and the stars by night

In the cooler evenings, curl up on a sofa by the woodburner, read a book, listen to music, watch tv or use one of the games provided. Unwind by enjoying a glass of wine whilst preparing a relaxed evening meal.

A fully functional kitchen/dining area with an electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, kettle, toaster, a small George Foreman electric grill, pots/pans, china, cutlery. Filter coffee and cafetière, instant coffee, tea, sugar, milk, breakfast cereals, bread, free range eggs, butter, preserves, snacks and basic condiments are provided along with washing up liquid, cleaning products and equipment, hand soap and tea towels.

The lounge area has a large sofa, small sofa, woodburner, TV, DVD player, radio/CD player, DVDs, CDs, books and games.

Sleeping arrangements:
Main large bedroom with a double bed, TV and plenty of storage.
Second bedroom with double bed, TV and storage
All bedlinen is provided

Shower Room with large shower cubicle with drencher, sink and WC. Towels, toilet paper, hand soap, shower wash and shampoo are provided.

Additional Information :
We are located in rural Norfolk so WiFi and mobile strength will not be the same as other areas and can fluctuate.
Guests have the use of their own large off road parking area, it’s a short walk following the path through the main garden to Stable Retreat and garden space - a trolley is provided to transfer luggage etc

We are located adjacent to the beautiful Broads National Park where day boats can be hired to cruise the Norfolk Broads in the Summer months.
Reedham Ferry a vehicular and foot chain ferry crossing the River Yare.
Burgh Castle Roman Fort, free entry to one of the best preserved Roman monuments in England with panoramic views of Breydon Water (perfect for a picnic).
Beccles, our local charming market town on the Southern tip of The Broads by the River Waveney with a quay, excellent amenities, independent shops, pubs, restaurants/cafes, a theatre, an open air Lido.
Bungay with historical buildings, independent shops and a choice of places to eat.
Loddon is a quaint local town on The Broads with shops and various places to eat.
The beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk coastline and beaches are from less than a 15 minute drive away which provide plenty of space for everyone, even in high season including Gorleston, Corton, Southwold, Walberswick, Cove Hithe, Dunwich, Winterton-on-Sea, Sea Palling, Pakefield, Kessingland, Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft.
During the Winter months the adult seals and pups can be seen in their natural habitat on the coast.
Southwold is an affluent popular market town and seaside resort with a sandy beach, a beach hut lined promenade, a lighthouse, a pier and Adnams Brewery.
Walberswick is a popular village with some wonderful architecture providing a foot ferry to Southwold, has pubs, cafes, crabbing and a nature reserve
Raveningham Gardens is less than a 5 minute drive away set around a lake, it’s lovely to wander around the various plants, flowers and trees.

Dunwich known as 'the lost city of England' steeped in history dating back to Anglo Saxon times and was once the capital of the Kingdom of East Anglia
Norwich – a 30 min drive or 35 mins on the train from Haddiscoe Station. Heaped with history, medieval charm, ancient city walls, a Norman Cathedral, Tombland, the Castle, Museums, modern High Street names, independent shops in attractive cobbled alleys and lanes, the largest permanent open air market in England, fine open spaces, riverside walks and many theatre opportunities. It’s a great place to visit any time of year including Christmas with the festive lights.
