Beautiful finished detacted propety with stunning views in Ballyliffin. This property is on a large and private site and is a 10 minute walk to Pollan Beach. We are a five minute drive to the world famous Ballyliffin Golf Club.

Finished to a high standard and offering elegant décor, bright and large living spaces Ard na Mara is the perfect place to gather and enjoy time with family and friends. The ground floor is a sociable space with double doors that lead from the kitchen to the family room and also from the family room to the sun room. A wood burning stove makes for cosy night in after a days exploring the stunning Inishowen peninsula. There is also a second sitting room and beautiful bathroom on the ground floor. All three bedrooms are on the 1st floor with two having an en suite shower rooms.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a large American style fridge freezer and a Range Master stove with a double oven. There is a dining table for 6 plus seating at the island unit for 3.

The large garden with its green lawns enjoys what has to be one of Ballyliffin finest views. Sit, relax and breath in the fresh sea air from Pollen Beach or gather with family and friends to dining alfresco. There is plenty of outdoor sitting, and a dining table and BBQ can also be made available to our guests. There plenty is off street parking on the dive around the property.

Please note there is no fix line broadband at this property. We use a 4g sim hotspot.

The small friendly coastal village of Ballyliffin on the Inishowen peninsula sits overlooking the stunning Pollen Bay beach with views over Glashedy Island and the Atlantic ocean. The beach also has a eco friendly play park for the younger members of the family. The village is located on the Wild Atlantic Way route, which is one of the longest defined coastal route in the world at 2500km long. The Wild Atlantic Way winds its way all along the Irish west coast starting in the north here on the Inishowen Peninsula down to the picturesque town of Kinsale, County Cork, in the south. Ballyliffin is also home to the world famous Ballylffin Golf Club, which hosted the 2018 Irish Open and is a must visit for golf lovers.

Inishowen is a perfect place for lovers of the great outdoors with kayaking, surfing and horse riding all available locally.
The Urris Hills are a hill walkers paradise with breath taking views and are also home to the family friendly Glenevin Waterfall walking trail with its magical Fairy Trail. We provide maps for our local walking trails for anyone who wishes to take to the hill.
With some of Donegal finest beaches on our doorstep, Tullagh Bay and Pollen Beach being the two closest, a fun family day out is never far away.

Hi I'm Sonia

I live and work in the beautiful county of Donegal with my husband Martin. We have been running our B&B and Craft shop business, the Glen House, in Inishowen for over 15 years. Over the last few years we have bought and renovated a number of properties that we now use for our self catering holiday lets business, My Donegal Escape. During these renovations I was able to indulge my love for interior design. Our aim with these homes is to provide our guests with a beautifully finished and comfortable property where they can spend their well earned holiday time with loved ones.

With over 25 years experience working in hospitality I look forward to sharing all I know about this wonderful part of Ireland with you. We have homes in some of Donegal's most popular locations including Ardara, Donegal Town, Clonmany and Ballyliffin. I am passionate about my job and have the pleasure of meeting and hosting guests from all over the world.

I love to travel, with the USA being one of my favourite places to visit. My bucket list is to visit all 50 states ... not a wish that Martin shares I might add !! but thankfully I have some wonderful traveling buddies. We do also love to spent time holidaying in Ireland. We own a motorhome and we love nothing more than heading off on a road trip.

Myself and Martin LOVE to eat out and there is nothing we enjoy more than a nice meal and a glass of red. We also, unfortunately, have a sweet tooth and find it hard to pass a tearoom or bakery ! Recommendations for local restaurants are always welcomed. We are both non-smokers and while visiting your home we can ensure you we will look after it as if it was our own. Although we love dogs and had one for many years, our lives are a little to busy at the moment, so we will be traveling pet free.
