FULL REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR BOOKINGS UNABLE TO PROCEED DUE TO COVID TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS. With stunning sea views this spacious first floor apartment is located in a sought after terrace set looking over one of Cornwall’s most charming towns. To The Lighthouse is a delightful apartment with elegant styling and large windows, thoughtfully furnished with your comfort in mind to create an oasis of calm from the hubbub of this beautiful, bustling harbour town.

Stepping inside you are met with a refreshing space and incredible far-reaching sea views over the harbour towards Godrevy lighthouse.

It is said that Virginia Woolf spent the early summers of her life in St Ives gazing out at the view of the golden sands and deep blues of St Ives and beyond all the way to Godrevy Lighthouse. Inspired by what she saw, it’s referenced in many of her later works and most famously in her novel ‘To The Lighthouse’.

Set across the first floor, the spacious living room really is the hub of this home with amazing views from the three floor to ceiling windows. It's open-planned and flooded with natural light with a sofa and dining area with a table for four - at the end of a day spent exploring, sink into the lovely squishy sofa and switch on the TV and relax in front of a film, or just simply watch the world go by gazing out to sea.

If you choose to eat in you won’t be disappointed in this well-equipped galley style kitchen. Cook up a feast and enjoy it from the dining table, with the ever-changing backdrop of the sea and the sky. There is a fridge freezer, washing machine, gas hob and electric oven, microwave and a door out to the rear patio.

There are two bedrooms off the hallway. The large main bedroom has a king size bed, a large wardrobe and a trunk allowing for plenty of space and an ensuite shower room. From the grey and blue hues of the art of the wall, to the wooden trunk, the room has been furnished and decorated with a clean palette of colours to create a truly relaxing room to unwind in.

Further down the hallway is the second bedroom, another peaceful, naturally lit room with two small single beds perfect for the kids.

The main bedroom has an ensuite shower room. At the end of the hallway is the main bathroom and with a small sized bath and a shower attachment.

On warmer evenings, open up the door from the living room and head out onto the balcony to really take in the surroundings from this beautiful viewpoint. It’s the perfect spot for enjoying a glass of wine as the day winds in. From the kitchen you can walk straight out into the courtyard, there’s a table and chairs for dining al fresco on sunny mornings.

Wi-Fi: To The Lighthouse has unlimited free wifi. - Due to the size of the apartment and thick walls it can drop out away from the router but we have supplied extenders to help.

PARKING: There are numerous car parks in St Ives and to help we’ll leave you 2 daily permits for your day of arrival and day of departure. Theses can be used outside if residents parking is available. The station car park is down the steps from the apartment or there is Trenwith Car Park just up the hill.

ACCESSIBILITY: To The Lighthouse has steep steps up to the buildings front door then an internal flight of stairs up to the first floor apartment. There are steep steps up that lead you out of the house from the rear patio, which may not be suitable for very young children or for those with limited mobility. If in doubt do ask before booking. Please note children of any age must be supervised by an adult if using the outside areas.

PETS: The far west is a dog’s paradise and we are sure your four-legged friend will love it down here! There is a great beach just a short drive away in Hayle that is dog-friendly all year round and the beaches in St Ives allow dogs before 10am and after 5pm in season. One well-behaved dog is welcome at £35 per stay. Please make sure they stay off the furniture and that you rub down muddy feet before they come in.

Cornwall, England, United Kingdom

St Ives is a town that never tires of things to do and it’s maze of higgledy-piggledy cobbled streets are filled with some of the best restaurants, cafes, shops and galleries Cornwall has to offer. For any art enthusiast, they’ll be well aware of the legacy that St Ives has made on the art world, with its numerous art galleries including the famous Tate St Ives, Barbara Hepworth Museum and Bernard Leach Pottery. It’s increasingly become a popular destination to travel to and it’s not hard to see why people fall in love with it and come back year after year. A quaint town surrounded by beaches with sand so golden and sea so blue it could be mistaken for the Caribbean. The beaches have become a favourite for many of the local surfers and the surf schools at Porthmeor offer the opportunity for you to try it out for yourself. Or heading to the harbour you can hop on a boat and take a trip out to see the seals. A town where you will want for nothing and everything is just on your door.

My name is Seb and together with assistance from Paola we run The Cornish Way, a small local holiday agency looking after a fine collection of lovely cottages for their owners. We are based in St Just, the UNESCO World Heritage Site and old mining town that retains so much of its original character and charm. Right on the edge of the beautiful coastline in the far west of Cornwall, we work from an old miner’s cottage with the assistance of my trusted office dog Otto. After coming down from London for an extended break 10 years ago I fell in love with this beautiful area and never left! Paola grew up near Penzance where she still lives and is a font of local knowledge. Always get in touch and we are usually on hand to help with your stay even if it's just a tip for a good local pub or beach!
