This property is ideal for a family or two families, with the main house sleeping 4 people and the sleepout attached to the garage sleeping 4 people. The house offers spacious open plan living.

The section is fully fenced, with plenty of parking, a fish filleting area, front deck and private outdoor area at the rear of the property.

Indawo
Departure Cleaning Service is a requirement and cost $120; this includes the removal of recycling. Please ensure the dishes are done and the BBQ is cleaned before you depart.

Guests are required to remove general rubbish from the property. Council approved rubbish bags can be purchased from the local store. Please place bags at the gate on your departure.

Linen is not included in the standard rate so please bring; tea towels, towels, sheets, pillow cases etc.

Linen is available on request only, and costs $25per person. Please confirm you would like this service during the booking process.

Fishing and Diving are obvious attractions of Mahia. Boat launching facilities on both sides of the peninsula allow access to excellent fishing and dive spots in almost any type of weather. Fresh fish, paua, kina and crayfish are easy to find, and you are always guaranteed to come home with some fresh seafood for the family. There are over 20 shipwrecks around the Mahia peninsula so the fish life is spectacular, and plenty of interesting dive spots.

The Mahia Peninsula scenic walk offers visitors excellent views of the Wairoa coast & reserve. This reserve is located 7 km south of Mahia Beach up the Kinikini Road. A 3.5 km loop track walks you through one of the best examples of semi coastal forest on the North Island east coast. Allow 2 hrs 30 mins to walk this track. Another spectacular walk is up the iconic Mokotahi Hill. It's a 20min climb to the top, and you have the best sea views of Mahia Beach ever... you can view far south to Napier and north to Gisborne.

Mahia Peninsula is a Surfing Mecca and includes some of the best waves and surf locations in the country. Mahia has an excellent reputation for delivering reliable, consistent and high-quality surf in almost any weather condition. The Mahia Peninsula's shape and geographical features mean that there is great diversity in the types of breaks and swell direction - with beach, point and reef breaks picking up swells from the north, east and south.

Mahia Peninsula has a very popular 9-hole golf course located on the isthmus and in the sand dunes of Mahia Beach. The local Mahia Golf Club holds golf tournaments on a regular basis that are enjoyed by all levels of golfers. The twilight tournaments are very popular by the visitors over the hot summer period.

The Morere Hot pools are a mere 20min drive from Mahia. These are natural hot mineral springs in a bush reserve. Public and private pools, picnic/bbq area and spectacular scenic bushwalks.

Mahia Seaside Market is the best thing to do on a Sunday. Fresh produce and arts and crafts from all over Mahia and the district. Yummy locally grown and made olives, Quail eggs, jewelry, fruit and vegetables, clothing items, art and much more.
