Our corner of Nova Scotia is often referred to as a hidden gem. There’s not too many places that you drive 10 minutes and enjoy any number of beautiful sandy beaches. Set out for a morning of beach combing and hunting for Seaglass! Oh yes, you will find that on our island too!
The Hawk Beach is great for bird watching and many birders come on a regular basis.
We also have a number of craft and gift wear shops to drop by. Each one has unique jewelry, wood carvings and a great selection of nautical themed gifts.
There are great restaurants in the area. Captain Kat’s is famous for their hot lobster sandwiches, delicious seafood is the specialties at J.B.‘S or Ocean Treasures. Take out at each .

Sandy Beach Hideaway offers you time to relax in a beautiful setting, spend a fun afternoon or two at the beach and have someone else prepare your supper!

We presently have a 2 day minimum.
There is a 3 night minimum from June 1- September 11, 2021

Weekly Rate: $1200

The Sandy Beach Hideaway is located in the community of Stoney Island. We are situated directly on a small sandy beach that generally doesn’t have but a few people in the summer. There are many services and stores within a 5 minute car ride. There is a Sobey’s, No Frills, Pharmasave , a beautiful large Home Hardware store , McDonalds, Tim’s and much more.

My husband and I purchased our Lakefront home in 2016. We were totally drawn to the tranquility of the lake and property. Whether it's enjoying the lake in the summer or sliding with our grandsons down the hill in the newly fallen snow , we have truly found a little piece of heaven! Because we are semi-retired , we have the flexibility to travel and have decided to share our home with guests. Our home is cozy and warm and we look forward to welcoming new friends!
