Lark Rise sits at one end of a charming terrace of Cotswold stone cottages in the village of Blockley, and in the words of the owner ‘we bought a view, it just happened to have a beautiful cottage attached’. Set over 3 levels this welcoming home sleeps 5 guests in 3 bedrooms. Lark Rise is dog friendly with private parking for 2 cars. There is a pretty, enclosed garden and the most wonderful views over the rolling Cotswold hills beyond.

Indawo
*Dogs: 1 well-behaved dog is welcome at the cottage for an additional fee. The pet fee is NOT included in your booking cost. A request for an additional fee per pet will be sent to you after you have placed your booking. Your pet fee must be paid for before your arrival date.

Set in an elevated position overlooking the gently rolling hills beyond, it is easy to lose yourself in the outstanding views from Lark Rise. Built in traditional honey-hued Cotswold stone, Lark Rise is an end cottage in a row of similar properties, so typical to the area. To the front of the cottage, you’ll find fields, often filled with poppies during the summer, and to the rear a view that embraces the hills and sky and can change in an instant. The cottage sits in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and you’ll often see large herds of deer peacefully grazing in the field beyond the rear garden.

This traditional stone cottage retains many pleasing character features including exposed stone, old beams, and original fireplaces. Built over three levels there is an appealing garden room on the lower ground floor along with a cosy, country-style kitchen with a wood burner. The ground floor has a light-filled living room, and the main bathroom, whilst the three comfortable bedrooms (main bedroom with an en-suite shower and toilet) can be found on the first floor.

To the rear of the cottage is a well-established, pretty, enclosed garden filled with flowers and shrubs. Tucked into a quiet corner is a patio with a garden table and chairs where you can sit and just listen to the buzzing of the bees and birds singing. Under the tree, there’s a garden bench with clear views over the valley and hills beyond.

Please note that additional guests above the maximum capacity are not permitted to stay overnight.
