Anchor Cottage, 33 Crovie is the highest and one of the largest cottages in the unique 18th century Village of Crovie. It has a beautiful private garden patio area for dining, relaxing and enjoying the spectacular views over the Moray Firth. It has 3 storeys, a kitchen/ dining room in the basement, 2 entrance level sitting rooms and a bathroom and 2 upstairs bedrooms. The cottage sleeps 4, and is the ideal place to stay in Crovie Village.

Indawo
Crovie Village (pronounced Crivie) is a truly spellbinding place. It is a small 18th Century conservation fishing village, on the North Aberdeenshire coast of Scotland, set dramatically on a narrow ledge in front of the cliffs and is one of the few villages in the UK, that is inaccessible to vehicles.

It sits looking across the bay to the larger village of Gardenstown. As well as being the best preserved 18th century conservation fishing village in Europe, Crovie Village also has the narrowest space between shore and cliff of any Scottish village.

There are no shops, restaurants, amenities or cars allowed in the Village of Crovie. The Village has an original BT red phone box and a Royal Mail postbox (which are both still in full working order).

Anchor Cottage, 33 Crovie is situated midway along the village, just past the Village Pier, which is a 5 minute walk from the lower car park, along the village footpath or alternatively a 5 minute walk down steep steps from the two higher car parks, at the top of the hill. There are steps leading up to Anchor Cottage from the village footpath.

The cottage has its own trolley/wheelbarrow, at the lower carpark, to help transport your luggage and provisions !
