A warm, well-insulated West Highland Cottage with beautiful mountain views from a fully fenced, enclosed rear garden.
Modern is blended with vintage for a welcoming atmosphere. There is a well-equipped kitchen with a 5-ring range cooker and dishwasher.
1 double bed, 2 twin beds and bathroom with separate shower and bath.
Cosy living room with French windows to large timber deck.
We provide our guests with a basket of logs & kindling for the living room wood burning stove.

Indawo
This is a cosy, compact two-bedroomed cottage with well-proportioned rooms. The property is modern and well-insulated with gas central heating and radiators. The house heats very quickly from a high efficiency combi boiler and retains it well. There is a separate kitchen and adjoining living room. The kitchen is well-equipped with a Range Cooker, Dishwasher. Lavazza A Modo Mia Espresso Coffee Machine, Panini Machine, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer and Washing Machine. The back door leads out to the large timber deck.
In the living room is a two-seater sofa, footstool, small table, two armchairs, Free Sat Smart TV and log burning stove. French windows onto deck.
The twin bedroom has a single wardrobe and a chest of drawers. The spacious double bedroom has a chest of drawers and double wardrobe. There is a good-sized hall cupboard with iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, clothes airer and shelving.
The bathroom has separate shower and bath. Extractor fan, shaver socket and centrally heated towel rail.
In the hall is a mixture of books including some for children. There is a drop leaf dining table and chairs in the hallway. A travel cot can be put up in the double bedroom if requested at time of booking or in advance of arrival date.

It’s quiet here.
Short days in Winter, Very long days in Summer.
On a clear night in winter the night sky will take your breath away.
In summer it takes a long, long time to get dark.
We often see deer right outside here. We see buzzards, bats, herons and highland cows all around here.
Ben Cruachan and Ben Lui are two of the nearby Munros.
Kilchurn Castle & St.Conan’s Kirk are a short drive or a longish walk from the cottage.
The Glenorchy Lodge Hotel is less than a mile away for food and drink.
Oban is around 30-40 mins drive away. Inveraray around 20-25 mins. Rannoch Moor and Glencoe are an easy 30-40 mins away
This is a great comfortable base for exploring this part of Scotland. We are around 1hr 15mins from Stirling, 1hr 30mins from Glasgow and 2hrs from Edinburgh.

Hello, I’m Bruce and together with my wife Susie we run two holiday rental cottages in the beautiful West Highlands of Scotland.
We are both proud Scots with a love of animals, our land and our history.
My Great-Grandfather settled back in Argyll after a spell in post-Civil War America. He had emigrated from Aberdeenshire but spent the rest of his life here on his return. Around the same time Susie’s family were crofting in Perthshire, a neighbouring county.
We welcome guests from all over the world or even just down the road !
We are surrounded by amazing landscapes and wildlife.
From deer, birds of prey and heron to frogs, newts, lizards and red squirrels, we see nature here under ever changing skies.
Talking of skies, we have no street lighting here, so on a clear night you will see more than a few stars.
It’s quiet here.... but at different times you can hear owls, stags roaring, and woodpeckers, cuckoos and water tumbling down river and burn. There is a wildness to this place.
The cottage is a comfortable and convenient base for exploring the West Highlands and surrounding area.
We are around a mile, as the crow flies, from the Kilchurn Castle end of Loch Awe.
Loch Awe is indeed awesome at around 25 miles long, boasts 3 castles, multiple islands and contains an abundance of fish.
These fish are not always easy to catch but all the record Brown Trout in the UK have been caught on Loch Awe.
Kintail Birds of Prey is well worth a visit on South Lochaweside at Eredine.
The unique and very unusual St. Conan’s Kirk is a 5 minute drive away in LochAwe village.
Rannoch Moor and Glencoe are around 35- 45 minutes. The Orchy is a favourite destination for lovers of white water as are the nearby Falls of Lora.
It does rain around here, so we do get some good waterfalls.
Whether you want a 30 minute walk through the forest or to climb a Munro it’s here.
Historic Inveraray is a quiet 25 minute drive away and Oban around 35 to 40 mins, where ferries offer trips to the West Coast Islands.
Kilmartin Glen is an outstanding area of Neolithic and Prehistoric archaeology and is around 1 hr 10 mins away.
We are just a one mile walk or cycle away or a 3 minute drive from our scenic West Highland Line station at Dalmally.
