You can camp! There’s nothing to fear. You will learn some things here (we’re all off-grid), and probably learn something positive about yourself.

It's much cooler in the trees. But if you’re hot, turn on a fan, relax in the hammock, take a cool shower. Fall asleep to the night sounds. Connect with Mother Nature, as you like it.

P.S. The summer lifestyle is especially healthy. Breathe clean air, sweat out toxins, hydrate and flush, cool shower, quiet yoga, ahhh.

The loft space is comfortable and cozy. You have lamps in every corner, places to put your stuff, fans, a radio, books, games, clear shower curtains around the deck which makes it very nice in case of rain, a compost potty station on the deck, water where you need it. You can open or close the windows and doors, turn the heater and fans on and off, and make yourself comfortable. I lived there for a year and half and loved it.

The outdoor kitchen offers a propane stove, tables, chairs, charcoal grill, and fire pit. I'm sorry I had to repossess the fridge. I found guests hardly used it anyway. We can share. And I can offer you a cooler.

The bed is 3/4 size, a couple not large in size can share it comfortably. Tis true the mattress is thin, but I’m picky about my mattresses and wanted a healthy one, not a chemical-laden and off-gassing one. A regular mattress would have been cheaper. Most people find it comfortable but if it’s too thin for you, you can put the floor mattress on the bed to double it up.

If not wanting to share the same bed, you’ll have to use the floor mattress for second person (kept under the bed) or the couch on the deck (curled up), weather permitting.

If you are a group of 3 or 4, there is tent space available near the loft. You would share the kitchen, fire pit, and bathroom with loft guests. If you don't want to bring your own gear, I have tents, sleeping bags, sheets, and pillows available for an extra charge of $10. You set up.

It's a very rural setting, but there are neighbors, many of whom are Amish. They drive horse and buggies and are hard to see at night and in the long shadows of the day. Please go slowly.

Ten minutes to Polkville where you have 3 gas stations, a country store with basics including pizza to go, a great hardware salvage store, post office, Dollar General, and a few others.

It's 25 minutes to Forest City, Shelby, and South Mountain State Park.

It's and hour and fifteen minutes to downtown Asheville and also to downtown Charlotte.

You can play corn hole and walk the property.

The bed size is like a 3/4 bed. Two people who like to cuddle and aren't large will be fine sharing. Otherwise, there is a sleeping mattress stored under the bed. The couch on the deck is also very comfortable if you don't mind curling up.

The loft includes one indoor room and one outdoor room (deck for sitting), and full use of outdoor space. Feel free to explore.

Please don't book if you are unstable on your feet. The terrain and steps aren't level or smooth.

The ceiling height on the deck is low, as are the doorways! Beware if you are tall.

There is no WiFi. You'll have to use your data, but hopefully you'll mostly ignore your phone.

There are books available in the loft. If you start one you like, you're free to take it. If you want to drop one off, please do. There are also games and a deck of cards.

"Service Fees" and "Occupancy Taxes and Fees" are Airbnb and government fees. They are not something I can do anything about. I have made my prices as low as possible that it's a value to you and worth it to me.
