Constructed from the local mellow-hued Cotswold stone, Honeysuckle Cottage forms part of a peaceful terrace of cottages, that was once home to farmworkers. To the front of the cottage are hedge-lined fields and to the rear, far-reaching views of the Cotswolds. This is an AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and it’s not uncommon to see herds of deer in the field beyond the rear garden, as well as birds of prey in the skies above.
Honeysuckle is a traditional stone cottage that is filled with character and charm and retains many original features including fabulous deep-set stone mullioned windows with window seats, stone fireplaces, and exposed stone walls. Its elevated location means it has been built over three levels. You enter on the ground floor into an inviting, light-filled living room with a wood-burning stove, the bathroom is also on this floor. Down on the lower ground floor, you’ll find a cosy dining room with the original flagstone floor and a well-equipped kitchen. There is also a door to the rear garden.
The views from the rear of Honeysuckle are just wonderful and the pretty rear garden is filled with roses, shrubs and plants and laid to decking. This steps gradually down to a seating area with a four-seater table at the end. The field beyond the garden often plays host to a herd of deer and the sound of birdsong fills the air.
Please note that additional guests above the maximum capacity are not permitted to stay overnight.
