This open-concept studio guesthouse offers modern comfort with an old Florida vibe. The casita (with king bed!) is part of our historic Spanish property, located separate from main house. Enjoy the private patio overlooking exotic trees and plants. The neighborhood is one of the oldest in Bradenton, with green spaces, historic homes and pleasant walking/biking routes. Watch the manatees splash in Portosueno Park and then catch the sunset from its little bridge. A remarkable Old Florida feel!

This studio casita is comfy and welcoming. The king-sized bed is new with 100% cotton percale sheets for a cool night's sleep. The kitchenette is equipped with Keurig coffee maker; the mini fridge is stocked with water. A few healthy snacks await your arrival. Wine and beer glasses, coffee/tea mugs, small plates, bowls, flatware, cutting board and paring knife. There is both an indoor shower and an outdoor shower -- both have hot water, too! The outdoor shower is stocked with eco-friendly soap and shampoo. (This is an eco-conscious property. )

Extra towels are available as needed, but we typically do not change out towels or sheets unless guests are staying more than one week.

Palma Sola Park is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Bradenton, having been developed in the 1920's by Edwin Barnes, a business partner of Thomas Edison. With green spaces and winding streets, it's a perfect spot to enjoy the manatees in the "boat basin", listen to the birds and ride a bike. Sit at Rose Park and watch the sunset overlooking Palma Sola Bay. Access to Anna Maria Island is quick and easy as we are the last neighborhood before crossing the causeway to the islands.

My husband and I love the neighborhood because of its historic charm, quick access to beaches, and all the natural beauty of the area. We fell in love with this charming old Florida house and are carefully restoring to its old Spanish glory. We live on the property and are available to ensure you have an enjoyable and restful stay. We are also the fortunate owners of Abby, a middle-aged very gentle and mellow beautiful black Labrador. She does not bark, loves treats (what Labrador doesn’t) and will be delighted to make your acquaintance. We look forward to hosting you in this one-of-a-kind location and lodging experience. My husband and I both work from home. When we aren't enjoying the natural beauty of the area, we enjoy spending time in our own patio space (separate from the Casita's), working on this beautiful old home, tending the garden and giving our dog, Abby, lots of belly rubs.
